RicemanX 20 Posted August 6, 2007 Because the mange bored is full of annoying buttplugs and the Little Help bored is full of rookie maggots, we're going to trust fellow geeks to help each other here. So in my 12 team, 8 keeper dynasty/contract league, I just made the trade of: Peyton Manning and 2.3 rookie draft for Larry Johnson and 2.9 rookie draft. Peyton's contract is a little bigger than LJ's, so this will allow me to move from round 6 to 5 in the regular draft. This guy needed a QB, and I needed a #1 RB really badly. My current keeper roster is: DEF Cowboys (cheap) K Gostowskeetskeetskeet QB Vince Young QB Kitna RB LJ RB Deuce WR SSmith WR Driver WR Branch I also have the 1.3 rookie draft pick, which might be Calvin Johnson. Anyways, looks like a good trade? And a good team to go into the year with?

kutulu 1,676 Posted August 7, 2007 Deal is you can keep up to two players at whatever they cost you at the auction last year, but you can't keep a player two years in a row. S. Jackson and T. Jones were my keepers last year so there are out. The cap is 120 dollars. My choices are and the cost against the cap: Cedric Benson 6 (close to a lock as my first keeper) Reggie Brown 6 New England Def 1 Peyton Manning 20 Jerious Norwood 5 Reggie Wayne 20 Bernard Berrian 1 Braylon Edwards 3 Tatum Bell 11 Heath Miller 2 Kinda think NE Def for a buck would allow max. cap for me at the draft, but can make a case for Manning at 20, Norwood at 5 Reggie Brown at 6.... As long as LJ reports. 1.3 is a nice spot in the rookie draft....just see who lands in your lap of Lynch, Peterson or Calvin.

I don't have much experience with auction drafts. But I think 20 is way too expensive for Manning this year, if you keep anyone, it should be Norwood, 5 would be cheap as hell for a starting back, and with 5, you can get yourself 2 other reliable RBs in case Dunn magically gets healthy and loses 2 years in his life. Personally, I like Braylon at 3 better than Reggie at 6. I am high on Edwards, their ADPs are only 10 picks off. IF you want to go the WR route. I would go with Norwood and Edwards. Or you can go with Norwood and NE De. No matter what, you will have plenty of cheddar for the auction. GL. EDIT. Oopes, didn't see Benson. Yea, Benson and Norwood. PS wrong bored.
