Raider 84 29 Posted September 9, 2007 Moss It's only one game, but the upside was obvious!
Pimptaddy 0 Posted September 9, 2007 I told u fockers back in July to get on the Moss bandwagon and yall ridiculed me, so now I got two words for ya, sux it!!!! Anyone who claimed Moss was done is an idiot. The guy is talented and a WR stud. Brady was sending a message to the league today. He was saying Moss is a top 5 talent and Brady was going to him all day. The patriots looked lethal and SuperBowl ready today.

DEEZNUTS 18 Posted September 9, 2007 interesting when you dig out posts from last week and read how so many people said that moss was 'washed up' and 'no longer an elite WR'. they are the same people who passed up on him in their drafts and are probably going to lose this week to the owners who just used common sense and drafted him. funny sh*t. He was saying Moss is a top 5 talent and Brady was going to him all day. The patriots looked lethal and SuperBowl ready today. To me, the only question with Moss was whether he can stay healthy. That still remains to be seen (hopefully he does). But the people who thought he was physically done, or that he will not gel with the locker room know nothing. Moss is thanking God that he finally has a QB who can put it exactly where it needs to be.
Peens 0 Posted September 9, 2007 Where are all the moss haters who said he was washed up? lol
Patriotica 5 Posted September 9, 2007 His touchdown was amazing. He was literally increasing the distance btw him and the three defenders when he caught the ball.

Patriotica 5 Posted September 9, 2007 I'd like some baked crow with the mango salsa, please. Pretty daring with the mango salsa. Raisin sauce is the preferred accompaniment.

Fantakai 0 Posted September 10, 2007 i was one of those "wait and see on moss" moss owners. sat him and played TO, plaxico and RONNIE f'in BROWN over moss. guess i'll be running 3WR's from here out.
edjr 6,592 Posted September 10, 2007 Owens also looked pretty good last night. Moss and Owens, back on top as the 2 best WR in the NFL.
GridIronAssassin#1 0 Posted September 10, 2007 That's only week 1 folks. Let's see who's having the last laugh come playoff time. I know my Vincent Jackson will pan out in the long run.
TD Ryan2 316 Posted September 10, 2007 Randy Moss is still only about 80% to 90% of what he was in his prime. Moss, in his prime, would have had 4TDs yesterday. There were 2 mid-to-long balls that he took over the middle and only had to beat/run-by one defender and he was taken down. So, for this Pats fan, I have my answer to all the pre-season questions: - No, Randy Moss is NOT the player he once was BUT an 80%-90% Moss is still better than anything Brady has had to throw to so far. I don't know about that. you're reaching there. The one down the sidelines, yes I'll give you that. The other 2, I don't think so.

The other 2, I don't think so. those are the 2... the one over the middle and the one down the sidelines. Moss in his prime would have scored on those 2. I don't think I'm reaching at all. He's still the best WR Brady's ever had to throw to. yes, there's always a possibility that he won't hold up for a full season (but that's why Stallworth is there too). and yes, there's always a possibility that he'll become a disgruntled, headcase (but starting the season like that goes a long way to keeping a positive attitude) and really, the most important thing about yesterday for NE: without R Seymour and R Harrison, they didn't miss a beat on defense, they were still able to stop the run. A Seymour-less Pats D used to mean a swiss cheese run d. Not no more.
TimmySmith 2,782 Posted September 10, 2007 Owens also looked pretty good last night. Moss and Owens, back on top as the 2 best WR in the NFL. Let's at least let CJ have his shot tonight before we go overboard, shall we? As far as Moss goes, I got him in the 4th and could not wait see he and Brady work. Brady must be in disbelief about having his first true stud WR.

Brady must be in disbelief about having his first true stud WR. He has never had a true go-to receiver. I used to always look at Manning and wonder what Brady would be like with a top receiver (or two like Peyton has). Now he has one, should be fun.
