Well, some reasons made me go Patriots:

 

a) LT talked trash

They don't have to cheat to win

c) Brady over Rivers anyday, anytime

d) Norv Turner I just don't trust

 

and Gut instinct on the defenses playing for some respect.

 

Had to get the play in, and this is how I felt.

 

2 team parlay==> UNDER 46.5 & Patriots -2.5 , 1 unit

I always forget about 1st half lines. It's probably a good thing to consider. What I don't like about 1st half lines though, and probably why I don't play them is because you are playing with 3 possible outcomes. Win, draw, and Loss.............Kind of like Soccer. I mean if the two teams are tied at the half, it's a draw. Of course with football, you get a push and your money back, so it's not so bad. IN soccer, you lose.

Considering the Over (39) for a light play. I think based on Philly's poor showing and Washington's non-offense that it might dip a bit as bettors pound the under so I'm hoping to grab it around 38.

I also played Washington, bought a half a point to get the line at 7.5. Reasoning for taking the Skins:

 

Wide Receiver difference: Washington - Randle El, Santana Moss, Brandon Lloyd and Tight End Chris Cooley. Philly- Reggie Brown and ??? LJ Smith is having groin issues and may not play.

 

Im not totally sure about Phillys D either, they cut Trotter (Although Takeo Spikes is probably an upgrade) and Lito Sheppard is out tonight. Last year Betts ran for 171 yards against Philly. Campbell has a bit more experience now and should be a bit more of a playmaker. Washington also has a great O-line and Portis and Betts should have a big night on the ground and give Washington a big edge on time of possession.

 

The skins picked up London Fletcher and Fred Smoot in the offseason, also drafted Laron Landry, that sounds pretty solid against a QB in McNabb who looked a bit slow last week at Green Bay and doesnt have many weapons at his disposal, he may have lost a step after that injury. Im sure Washingtons game plan will be to stop Westy and make McNabb beat them with his arm.....and very few weapons.

 

All in all, that makes 7.5 points sound pretty decent to me, well see!

The public is currently betting Philadelphia 68% yet the line dropped to 6.5, usually a good sign that your on the right side. Just curious if anyone has a good rebuttal for playing the Skins tonight, like the fact Philadelphia generally throttles opponents at home on Monday nights and Jim Johnsons D packages should rattle the heck out of an inexperienced big game QB
