GiantsRule 0 Posted September 17, 2007 The public is currently betting Philadelphia 68% yet the line dropped to 6.5, usually a good sign that your on the right side. Just curious if anyone has a good rebuttal for playing the Skins tonight, like the fact Philadelphia generally throttles opponents at home on Monday nights and Jim Johnsons D packages should rattle the heck out of an inexperienced big game QB Good Luck!! Other than "it's the freakin' Redskins", I have no clue. I wouldn't touch either side with a 10-foot pole, but I'm not exactly a traditional gambler to begin with. Hopefully, I'll see some appetizing props when I get home (McNabb completions, Westbrook total yards, etc.)
slpbaseb12 0 Posted September 17, 2007 This may seem like a degenerate gambler play, but sportsbook has a prop; Will one team score 3 straight times w/o the other team scoring, yes-180 no+140 This seems like easy money for no...am I crazy to put money on this ridiculous bet? GiantsRule 0 Posted September 17, 2007 A valid, legitimate point! All bets run the same potential risk, a possible loss. Go with what the little man inside you says Good Luck!! Found my prop: Clinton Portis to have more than 74.5 yards rushing If Yer Mom's hunch is right and Washington will keep it close (and possibly win), their only shot is with a strong rushing attack since Philly will shut down Campbell pretty easily. My biggest concerns are Philly taking a big early lead, and Gibbs putting in Betts more than he needs to be. Still worth a shot, more so than the the other props, the side or total. Good luck to all! I have tried this bet on 3 separate occassions the past two years. I've bet no every time and loss. Don't know if this helps you or not, but I will never bet on it again. phillybear 366 Posted September 17, 2007 Overall NFL YTD: 10-6-1; +.45 units Subset: 2 unit plays or higher: 1-2; -1.7 units Monday Washington 1st H (+4)@-115 for .5 units WINNER I think the game will be conservative in the 1st H. Washington should be able to hammer away at the mediocre run defense with their power running game, and run clock. The Eagles just don't have any offensive weapons besides Westbrook. FG game at the half. Good luck to all.
GridIronAssassin#1 0 Posted September 17, 2007 MONDAY NIGHT PLAY: 2 TEAM PARLAY: WASHINGTON MONEYLINE & BREWERS MONEYLINE............. Accidently put it in for 2 units...........YIKES Edit: I have Westbrook on my fantasy team, but no way in hell will I be rooting for the Eagles now.
GobbleDog 997 Posted September 17, 2007 Each week I've made 3 NFL "locks of the week". Current results ATS: 0-5 and my 3rd lock in week 2 was PHI -7. Good luck everyone!!!

GiantsRule 0 Posted September 18, 2007 i saw a pretty good prop on bodog with cooley spotting lj smith 10 yards... just because i know lj has groin issues and may sit the game out... watch him go off for like 100 yards tonight though It's a good bet, but keep in mind, this happened to me last year. Took Tiki (vs. Westbrook) prop when Westbrook almost sat out the game with an injury. He not only covered the "yardage spread", he destroyed Barber's production that day! But I've heard nothing but injury issues about LJ Smith since early-preseason. Don't know when (or if) he'll be healthy. Still, you need Cooley to produce something (and that's no guarantee)! Good luck!
GridIronAssassin#1 0 Posted September 18, 2007 Well, so far this game looks nothing like the Sunday night fiasco. Tied 0-0 in the 1st quarter. GO SKINS!
GridIronAssassin#1 0 Posted September 18, 2007 Skins lead 3-0 Woo hoo! Now Skins need to hold the Eagles to 0 for 3 quarters........................... I wish

phillybear 366 Posted September 18, 2007 Philly is -4 and 17.5 Edit: passing on it.
GiantsRule 0 Posted September 18, 2007 Philly is -4 and 17.5 So tempted to do Over 17.5 (-120) but can't bear to pull the trigger. Already watching Portis drag ass and come nowhere close to 75 yards rushing! ETA: Now -125. Nurtz!
GridIronAssassin#1 0 Posted September 18, 2007 Philly is -4 and 17.5 Edit: passing on it. I've got Philly at -5.5 and 18.5 Any thoughts here?

Hurricane Ditka 0 Posted September 18, 2007 I grabbed the over for the second half 17.5.
GridIronAssassin#1 0 Posted September 18, 2007 Ok, I just Nailed Philadelphia -5 for the 2nd half........................it's a hedge for my initial wager of a 2 team parlay of the Brewers and Skins.................
GiantsRule 0 Posted September 18, 2007 Screw it. No football for almost a week after tonight. Just a half unit on this mess. Two-team parlay (pays 2.36 to 1): Over 17.5 (-125) Philly -6 I can't see Philly losing this game. And to cover the halftime line, they have to win by 3. I see the Eagles squeaking this one out, 20-16. Good luck to all!

The thing that can't happen for me is Philly winning by one point, thus causing a push on my 2nd half bet and losing my initial game wager of Washington ML & Brewer ML

GridIronAssassin#1 0 Posted September 18, 2007 Unlikely unless McNabb can make a big play. Need Portis to stay healthy and get enough carries for another 15 yards. Your Portis bet is very much alive still...........I've got him at 14 carries for 60 yards. They should want to run him more in the 4th quarter. I'd still prefer to have Washington win outright, as I'd win more moolah than that of Philly winning.
JetsFan28 0 Posted September 18, 2007 I'm adding Over 7.5 for the 3rd quarter (+125) Damn. Needed a TD from the Eagles on that drive that came up just short for this to hit. Aw well. Still have Washington +7.
GridIronAssassin#1 0 Posted September 18, 2007 I don't have money on it, but GR does and it's close.....................the Portis watch is 17/69 yards with 12;02 left on the clock. Besides, I need the Skins to win.
