Not a real big hockey fan but do appreciate the sport and the athleticism required to play it. Looks like fun. Not much ice to play on growing up in Texas, wish I had the chance.

Anyway, I was in Buffalo recently and had a conversation with a local. I asked him about the how he felt about the Dallas Stars beating them in the cup in '99. He said, " no goal!"

I went on to tell him how I see it. The town of Buffalo are a bunch of crybabies and need a reality check, especially the puzzy azz coach who cried the loudest. the 'no goal' was in the 2nd overtime of game 6 to clinch it for the Stars. I have always said that you should never put yourself in a position to lose a game from a bad call, and this call was just questionable. But the sabres had 3 periods and 2 OTs to score another goal and didn't do it. And even if it was a no goal, the game would have just continued and the outcome could have been the same, but say that the sabres pulled it out, they would have had to win a whole other game to win the cup.

All the buffalo people do is cry about it without facing reality, no respect for that part of the country, buncha whiners.

Miller was great in college. I actually did not mind watching him play and that is saying a lot considering hockey is mind-numbingly boring.

Just a note to those of you that watch HNIC, or any other CBC Sports:

Don Wittman passed away this morning. One of the true giants in broadcasting - he'll be missed.

How's the Sabres doing?

Because the Flyers are 1st in the division, have 1 loss in the month of january, and points in 11 straight.

my how things turn. now 4th in the division, 7th in the conference. goaltending a mess (for the moment).

just throwin it out there...

(Rotoworld)

Daniel Briere-C-Flyers Feb. 19 - 10:25 am et

Daniel Briere continues to struggle without Simon Gagne.

The duo are dangerous when on the ice together, but have been limited because of Gagne's three concussions this season. While Briere is second on the team in scoring with 21 goals and 54 points in 59 games, he is atrocious defensively with a -21 rating. He has also scored only two goals in the past 15 games. He is still a valuable fantasy performer, but is a shadow of the player he was last year with Buffalo.

Predict the score tonight:

I go with 4-2 Habs. Higgins will still play a stellar game and score at least one more as teams seem to have shifted their focus to the Kovalev line. Grabovski and the Kostitsyn brothers will score the others.

:(

4 goals sounds about right. I have a feeling that Jesus Price may be too good tonight and will come up with a shutout.

Habs 4 Gaybres: 0

I say 2-0 Habs tonight against the Debils.

2-0, 2-1. Who's counting right? A win is a win is a win baby! First in the East!

i pulled hard for the sabres in that series....but you are dead on..the whining was a weak excuse to cover up the fact that they hardly scored any goals in that series....

all of a sudden , if that goal is disallowed, the sabres are going to score and win game 7? right...

im glad those hook up and hold em days are mostly in the past...

Was a great game, Lapierre was awesome in the last 2 minutes. The last time we were in first in March? 1989. It's been a long time.
