Sho Nuff 720 Posted October 30, 2007 Why did I ever draft this turd? Been getting a few offers, none blow me away though. Anybody been dealing the guy? What have you been getting. Last offer was E. Graham and L. Evans. Not bad, but looking at my bench, there is nobody I would really drop...and not sure I would start Graham either.
Moonpies 0 Posted October 30, 2007 I just traded him straight up for Anquan Boldin in a dynasty and I'm giddy about it. I drafted him as a rookie and he has given me good times but he is losing it fast. I was playing Marion Barber or Kevin Jones over him so I am happy to get a young #1 WR for him. I'm surprised the guy took the offer. He wanted Barber but I said SA or no deal and he took it. I have seen other leagues where the SA owners say they can barely give him away right now. jman316 0 Posted October 30, 2007 I just traded FOR Alexander, here was the deal: I traded away: Lamont Jordan Greg Jennings Andre Johnson Keith Bulluck I got: Alexander Chad Johnson I figured, if he can win me a few games, great. If not, at least I got Chad to go with Carson.
Sho Nuff 720 Posted October 30, 2007 Trying to package him to the same owner to get Favre (better than Eli and much better than Losman who I am starting this week). The guy has Brady, so other than the bye (which I can give him Eli) he will not be starting Favre ever.
Blaneyfan 0 Posted October 30, 2007 It would be nice to see him without the cast, which is hopefully this week. I'm going to wait because I won't get phuck all for him anyway.
Sho Nuff 720 Posted October 30, 2007 Wow...without including Eli. Might be bad for me...but QB has been killing me for a while. Just got Favre and Lee Evans for Alexander. Evans will be a platooner (though I may ride the hot hand) with Jennings and Crayton (Ocho Cinco being my #1). Alexander was starting to kill me anyway...and I still have K. Jones, Portis, Watson, and ugh...Benson. Not great...but I was hurting anyway with Alexander.
Blaneyfan 0 Posted October 30, 2007 Wow...without including Eli. I wasn't responding to your trade, just Alexander in general and the questions in your first post. Anybody been dealing the guy? What have you been getting.
Sho Nuff 720 Posted October 30, 2007 I wasn't responding to your trade, just Alexander in general and the questions in your first post. Oh, I get it. I just mean...wow, without giving him up I got Favre and Evans. But am in that buyers remorse state of what did I just do. I think the peace of mind of not having to start Alexander and watching him suck made me do it.
unckeyherb 2 Posted October 30, 2007 I wouldn't move him until I saw him this week. Cast is off, and the team has had an extra week to get their act together due to their bye. I am starting him this week with some trepidation, but I feel like he'll put up good numbers from here on out. Not 2005 numbers for sure but at least what he was doing prior to breaking the wrist. unckeyherb 2 Posted October 30, 2007 I really do think he will put up 100 and a TD this week. Not joking, mang.
Mephisto 15 Posted October 30, 2007 He may do just that, but he is now ranked 27th in my league. I'm just tired of listening to the same horseshit hype week after week that "this is the week" or "this is the matchup" or "this is the schedule." How many clunkers against crap teams do you need before your optimism takes a hit?

Mephisto 15 Posted October 30, 2007 That is why I traded him.Part of it hoping Rudi stays out and Watson stays in as well. I was afraid to trade him myself. I moved him just before the NO & STL games and thought for sure it would bite me in the ass and he would do good... not to mention, I paid $83 of my $200 auction money to obtain him after all the rest of the "big dogs" went. I got Favre and Cedric Benson in return. Right now, I couldn't care less how he does the rest of the way, it was the right move just based upon 2 clunkers (post-trade) and the bye week. Benson outscored him in my league both those weeks he played before the bye. So it was a "winning trade" for 3 straight weeks even if I didn't win all three games in my league. aportanenko 0 Posted October 30, 2007 would an SA owner take Foster for him? I got Westy and Edge figure trade filth for filth.
aportanenko 0 Posted October 30, 2007 Is Foster too much for SA? I've been looking at Sean's stat's and a little while ago his fullback went down he's really sucking the phallus this year.
Leshavelli 0 Posted October 30, 2007 I just dealt Alexander, here was the deal: Alexander and Owens For MBIII, Curtis, and, Crayton Then, I dealt Kitna away for Griese. Which turned out to be However, I just added Losman to my team because he has some attractive matchups over the next few weeks. Also, was able to drop Griese and add Ryan Grant. Needless to say, I am trying to work a deal for a QB. Right now I am targeting Derek Anderson, as the owner has Garcia and Bulger. He seems to love Garcia for some reason. It seems like he is still having issues with his foot, doesn't it? He just doesn't seem to have the same burst through the hole as he once did. Personally, I don't think he has been the same since f'ing up his foot last year. Not to mention, the O-line is the worst it's ever been.

Lickproof 0 Posted October 31, 2007 I jumped off the Alexander boat as fast as I could. I traded Alexander and S. Young (to the T. Henry owner) for Edge. Cast or no cast, if he couldn't avg 3 ypc against the Rams then I see him having an overall crap year. I hope I'm right and I hope I don't regret letting S. Young go. I guess anything I get from Edge is just icing since I wasn't getting anything from Alexander.

OMG you got screwed.....SA and TO for nothing. MBIII doesn't see the ball unless Dallas has a lead. Curtis had 1 game against Detroit. Mayber your owner who loves Garthia needs to step out of the closet... I'm giving SA one more weekend, and benching Portis....he had a bye, the cast is off, and they're playing the Browns. And Portis is playing the Jets. MBIII may only play when Dallas has the lead...but they have the lead quite often and he is destroying SA in points. In the last game...Barber got plenty of work. They almost alternated series. Then he got the mop up time yards and carries as well. Want to know how bad Alexander is? He is tied with Cedric Benson in points. Did I really get screwed, sucka? Seeing how I just dealt T. Jones, Crayton, and, Curtis for Derek Anderson and Berrian (dropping Berrian and picking up Roddy White). Oh by the way, my two starting WR's are TJ and Boldin. Not to mention my RB's are MBIII, Jamal, Henry/Selvin, and, Grant. Pipe down, sucka. There is always a method behind my madness. FYI...MBIII doubles SA's point total and doesn't see the same amount of carries per game. Look for Dallas to rely more on MBIII down the stretch, especially after he mauled the Vikes powerful rush D two weeks ago. LMAO...I love it when a moron tries to act like he knows what he is talking about. Maybe you need to play in my league next year? By the way, you really showed your ignorance when you said MBIII only plays when Dallas is in the lead. LMAO...who the hell told you that, Helen Keller? Moonpies 0 Posted November 5, 2007 for boldin in a dynasty? how the hell did you pull that off? I cant trade Alexander for anything. The only offer I got was Fred Taylor and a first round rookie pick for Alexander. and that first round pick would most likely be the 11th or 12 of the first round. Like I said, I'm surprised he did it. Here is exactly what happened. After the week 7 games, I get a trade offer of Boldin for Barber III. Well, I use Barber 50% of the time so I didn't want to trade him especially as a Dallas fan and it being a dynasty and JJ probably leaving next year. So I countered Boldin for Alexander because I had stopped using Alexander and had figured I had missed my last chance to dump him before he totally had no value. I figured this would end all discussions but he countered with Boldin and a 1st round pick if Barber scores 13 TDs this year, a 2nd if he doesn't for Barber III. I agained countered Boldin for Alexander with a note that I was not ready to trade Barber but would be willing to trade Alexander for a decent WR. He had just aquired Chad Johnson in a trade and was a little thin at RB. Still, I figured he would never go for it since Alexander had been looking really bad and Boldin had looked great since coming back from injury. I went to bed expecting nothing but when I checked the site the next day, he had accepted the deal. I kept my mouth shut but was constantly smiling for 2 days until the commisioner put the trade through. My WRs were Owens and Holt and now I have a young #1 to replace one of them when they are done. Needless to say I'm very happy about this development even though Boldin did nothing today.
Sho Nuff 720 Posted November 5, 2007 My trade... Alexander - 3 points this week. Favre - 23 points Evans - 25 points. I was finally able to move Alexander this week gave up Alexander 3 year contract Schaub for the year for Derek Anderson for the year Tony Gonzo 2 year contract TEs mandatory. so, im happy to get two starting players, and get rid of his 3 years. since we are only alotted 25 for the entire team
baronmd77 0 Posted November 5, 2007 Two weeks ago, I jumped off Shauntelle... jrbdmb 28 Posted November 5, 2007 I was able to trade SA for SJax to an owner who needed a bye week replacement. Since he still has Brandon Jacobs and ADP, losing a banged-up SJax wasn't a big deal for him. And as it works out, he didn't need all of SA's 3 points this week anyhow. gacomeau 0 Posted November 5, 2007 I'm a very unhappy Alexander owner. I've had him on the trading block for while now, but everyone has been low-balling me on offers. I'll have to stick it out and hope that he can turn things around. In his defence, there were a lot of runs where there was a defender three yards into the backfield before he even got the hand-off. I'd recommend to the Alexander owners to pick-up Morris as a handcuff, especially since Alexander is even more banged up now. And he's losing lots of carries to Morris anyway.
