Who was your "sleeper" before the season

Recommended Posts

Anthony Gonzelez

I really thought he was going to take the spot that stokley held the year that he was so involved in the offense. It turns out they had someone in that role. Dalls Clark.

I thought Philip Rivers was going to turn the corner this year and had him pegged as a pretty big sleeper - I snagged him in the 10/11th round in a couple leagues as my starting QB and was ecstatic about it. Oh well, at least I got DA off of waivers

Rivers was mine too. Luckily another owner snagged hin right before me in the draft and I ended up taking Hasselbeck!..

For me it was braylon, while I knew he was good, it is the browns. I was laughed at when I picked him in the 8th or 9th round. perhaps early at the time, but obviously he went from me doubting starting him, to my #1 reciever as I'm sure he has for most owners.

Oh my other sleeper.. Rivers. Not that he was a HUGE sleeper, but just like someone else said, I thought he was going to turn in a nice *consistant* year. Not even close thus far hah

V.Jax here also. Allthough I was not able to grab him. Someone else took him a few picks before I could and I was HOT. Sometimes the best picks are the ones you don't make.

QB-Alex Smith, funny part is that i couldn't get him in any of my leagues. Still was very high on him before the start of 2007

Bo Scaife. Took him late in 2 $ leagues. I drank large volumes of the preseason.."Vince Young' favorite target" Koolaid.

He's long since been replaced by Daniels, Olsen, Watson, and Heap.

I am right there with you. I "stole" Scaif in the 14th round, and thought I had a great pickup in PPR formats. Instead he's sucked balls. Actually, that would imply that he's had some activity and most weeks I've had to look for him in the box score with a magnifying glass. He & VY had an excellent rapport, and if he'd do a #(!^#&^ checkdown once in a blue moon instead of bailing on the play and running, Scaif would be the man.

Unfortunately for Scaif, the NFL and we FFB-ers, Young appears to be the 2nd coming of Mike Vick, sans dogfighting. Wake me when he completes a pass downfield.

editored - looked at my draft sheet - he was a bigger "steal" than I thought.

DeAngelo fockin' Williams.

He and Foster were available but Williams was higher on my cheat sheet (one tier higher). Even though I KNEW that Foster was the starter, I chose Williams    :wall:
