SUXBNME 1,636 Posted November 21, 2007 Tip of the day... Go to Sams Club or Costco and look at the opened returns TV's. I got a $1800.00 56" 1080i (JVC) with the stand ($200.00) for $900.00. Small crack on the base was the only problem. I still get the free lifetime warranty. Can't beat it

The Moz 72 Posted November 22, 2007 Plasma TVs really suck ! Unless you plan on watching TV in a dark room. Its the worst glare ever. Get LCD if you want a flat panel -- or a Sammy DLP for a large screen family room type TV. Can Get a Sammy DLP 50 - 60 in at Best Buy or CC for a decent price. Best Picture go for the Sharp aquos (sp? ) LCD
BlackClouds 24 Posted November 22, 2007 Plasma TVs really suck ! Unless you plan on watching TV in a dark room. Its the worst glare ever. Had mine for almost 2 years. What is this glare you speak of?

redtodd 7 Posted November 22, 2007 you are correct and even then it really doesnt make a difference unless you think having 1080p makes you cooler than the next guy I am kind of regretting not running out and getting it. But I find it hard to believe that I will not get the same deal within the next month or so. We'll see.

We'll see. pretty sure that was last years model, and a really good price for it. not sure whats going to beat that price unless you were one of the idiots standing in line yesterday for sales today, never know though I guess. The Moz 72 Posted November 23, 2007 My pioneer PLASMA has no glare whatsoever and blows away any LCD picture I have ever seen Maybe that brand is just a lot better -- I got a 50in Panasonic Plasma last year and whenever I watched the damn thing with any light on at all it was a glare and with some sunlight forget it. I took it back a month later and got a different plasma the guy said had a lot less glare I think it was Hitachi took back and same damn thing. Finally took that back and got a samsung DLP and while the picture isn't as true as the Plasma has no glare to it. Maybe the brand you have and the other that commented on it don't have the glare issues or they corrected it in later models - but the 2 I have had sucked ass in that regard. What's funny is that the deals they had there for this morning were not even close to this one. At least I now have a limit for what to spend. I will not spend over $1000 for a 50" 1080i Plasma.
