Vivid Dreams Involving Football

Recommended Posts

I take this natural herb pill called Valerian Root to fall asleep at night. The thing is that it makes you have freaking vivid dreams.

Last night I had this dream that the Green Bay Packers were practicing in my grandma's backyard, because she had a couple of acres of land behind the house. I'm not sure why they were practicing in my grandma's backyard (who has been gone several years) and I'm not sure why they were there in Texarkana, TX.

Anyhow I was working with the kicker. Strange thing is...he was #4 (it was not Favre). There was a goal post set up in the back yard right behind the house and at the far end of the yard with a sort of bowl at the bottom that the support beam of the goal post went through the center of, connecting to the ground. The bowl had several balls sitting in it. The goal post was about half the width and height of the current NFL goal posts with a tree branch hanging down just above the top of the goal post. He would kick from one side of the yard to the other (parallel to the house), using balls that had the half stripes like in college football. I was kind of hanging around and the kicker would walk up every once and a while from the back acre where the rest of the team was practicing to practice kicking field goals. I volunteered to serve as the holder, but he was using a small tee for practice.

This guy was very accurate, but the weird thing was the way he lined up for the field goals...his approach. Instead of lining up at an approximately 45 degree angle from the spot and instead of using the two step approach, this guy would line up four steps back, directly behind the spot and turn his back to the spot. When he turned 180 degrees to approach the ball, he would execute a crow hop like an outfielder in baseball would use to gain momentum before a throw, staggering his steps when approaching the ball and still hitting the ball soccer-style. The guy was lights out with his accuracy!

Being a former field goal kicker myself in high school and briefly in college before I chose to pursue baseball full-time, I immediately became intrigued by this guy's style, approach, and overall accuracy. I asked him if he played football in high school and college and he said that he had not, but that he played soccer instead and decided to use that experience to become an NFL kicker.

Anyhow, that was pretty strange. Anyone else have strange dreams about football? Damn, that Valerian is good stuff!

Here's my best ever....even though it was against me.

I owned Michael Haynes (Falcons). The other guy owned Jim Everett (Rams) back in the early 90's. So in the dream, for some reason they are on the same team. Everitt heaves the longball and Haynes is running towards it for a big TD. I'm set. I cancel out his TD with Haynes TD. Out of no where comes the other owner. That's right, the other owner is suited up and steals the pass from Haynes, takes to the house and he gets double points.

Whew, just a dream.

I have this recurring dream where it's just me and Brian Urlacher on the field. Of course he tackles me but then, to my surprise, he starts getting undressed. Next thing I know, I'm naked and....... oh wait, I'm in the wrong forum aren't I??

My wife has told me a few times on Sunday or Monday night that I have been cursing in my sleep...saying "Mother F**ker, or S**T!" and that it scared the hell out of her. I'm pretty sure it was because my player was not performing or because someone on my opponents team just had a huge play. My fantasy games continue in my sleep probably, I don't really remember.

Dude, I was in a serious relationship with a Texans cheerleader for over a year....long story short...HIGH MAINTENANCE...NOT WORTH IT...NIGHTMARE. I'm still paying off the bills and she's married...nothing to show for it. After that, I hook up plenty, but non-committal...LOL!

Strange you would start this topic. I didn't... until last night, and I dreamt that the Packers were shutout by the Cowboys 28-0.

Seriously.

I own Favre, Jennings, and the Dallas DST. Starting Favre & Jennings. I think I've been doing too much FF sh!t.
