The 1 Player You Always Seem To End Up With?

Recommended Posts

Almost everybody has one. Who is that one player that for some reason you must have on your team? Maybe you even have to reach for him. Maybe you don't even know why you're so appealed to him. It doesn't even have to be an early round guy, but I'm interested to see who you guys just can't avoid.

For me by the way it's Chris Johnson of Tenn. I know there has been alot of threads on this guy, but that's far from the reason I keep drafting him in all my money leagues. I'm just extremely curious to see if he will develope, and I just don't see LenWhale being the answer there. I target him around the 10th round in all my drafts.

Chime in......who's your must draft?????

Somehow, every year since he's been in the league, I've had Lee Evans on at least one of my FF teams. I said never again after I reached up to get him last year after a "breakout" '06 and he totally killed me. However, staring me in the face in round 8 in one of my drafts was Lee Evans. With already having 3 RBs, 3 WRs, a QB and a TE on my roster, Lee once again joined the fold. Another 17 weeks of starting him at the wrong time.

You wont get him if you target him in the 10th round anymore. he was also a guy i was getting on all my teams. Back in June i was getting him later than round 10 and got some great value on him. the other day I lost him when he was picked in round six so that cats out of the bag and if you want him now you better lower your target round. Others who i have been on this year and luckily are Ricky Williams with Brown coming off surgery not very long ago i figured he had to see a lot of time. Another that is also going much earlier than last month is Keller TE Jets and Dallas defense.

Historically it's Donald Driver and Peyton Manning...

This year it will probably end up being Jonathan Stewart...or Drew Brees...

This year I finally broke then trend of drafting Steve Smith and Todd Heap... for some reason I always ended up with them but after last year I refuse to draft them anymore.

Dallas Clark has been on my team the past 4 out of 5 seasons.

In my main league, I've had Deuce McCallister every year since he's been a rookie. We've won 3 titles together, but I think this is the year the run finally comes to an end.....

We'll see though, that's what I said two years ago.

3rd year in a row I ended up with MJD. The is the first year in 4 years that I haven't had Fred Taylor, but a trade is always possible!!

Recently, it's been Joey Galloway. He always drops due to his age but he keeps on producing. Admittedly, he's a boom or bust guy week to week, but he's been a nice fill in from time to time. That said, this year is probably the year I pass on him...

Fred Taylor. I have had him for the last 5 years. I think it has gotten to the point that since nobody has ever had him on there team that they disrespect his numbers as a bench RB on the team. I get him late every year and he does alright filling in here and there.

Favre has been my backup 6 years running, but someone snagged him from me this year. Now I have Aaron Rodgers as a backup!

I've had the Colts starting RB every year since 2002, first Edge and then Addai. I've won two titles in that span and I contend pretty much every year

I always seem to end up with Isaac Bruce and/or Brett Favre.

I do not have a "must draft" per se however I have ended up couple of times with the same guys.

Edgerrin before going to AZ

Jamal Lewis

Jason Witten

Tampa Qbs

Eagle Rbs

Every year however I have targets and usually get them. Some of hit, some havent.

2007- DJ Hackett

2006- Maroney

2005- Bears D/ Julius Jones :pointstosky:

2004- Tyrone Calico- I may have to write a "What if?" story on guys like Calico. He looked can't miss.

My biggest hits were early on. Portis is my all-timer.

I feel your pain--I just drafted Evans in one league as my 4th WR after swearing off ever again. I think I need a 12 step program. What's worse, the following round I "had" to grab DeAngelo :wall:, another guy I just can't seem to shake...

It used to be Easy Ed McCafferey - I had a man crush on him & had him on my money league team every year for what seemed like decades.

Lately its been Winslow - although its far from a man crush........yet.

Drank the Vernon Davis Kool Aid two years in a row and got Boldin way too late for great value the past two years as well.

Portis, TO, Roethlisberger, Garrard, Crosby have all been on a lot of my rosters over the past 3 or 4 years (Garrard and Crosby onky the last 2) Julius Jones sat on my bench for 2 straight years, I have not gotten him on any teams yet this year.

Neil Rackers is my guy I cant seem to break away from. He kicked me to a championship in 05 (Maybe it was 06 I cant remember) and I must have some hidden man love or something. He was one heck of a kicker that year, my league gives 5 points over 50 and he was MONEY. :overhead: Now all I get is a average kicker about to lose his job, I cant say no when his name is there in the last round. Ann Landers please help :shocking:
