SaintsInDome2006 128 Posted September 29, 2008 Odd isn't it, that the near-20 year vet is the lesser injury risk. Matt Flynn is the backup. Played at LSU and led the Tigers to a National Championship. Not a strong arm but he can manage an offense. One thing to say about McCarthy, he can coach people up. Other QB's under his past tutleage - who were all backup for him - include Jake Delhomme and JT O'Sullivan. He also made Aaron Brooks, for a while, into a 3600 yard 25+ TD QB, which had to be something of miracle (and he sure wasn't that after McCarthy left).
