Antiramie 50 Posted October 26, 2008 Does the lousy weather in London plus Bush being out of the lineup move Brees to the bench this week? These others QBs are available in my league: Garcia Cassel (bad weather too) O'Sullivan Garrard So who's the best QB to start?
sirwinzalot 1 Posted October 26, 2008 I benched Brees once this season, and it cost me my game, not gonna ever bench him again.
mambokings 0 Posted October 26, 2008 You should bench Drew Brees because you bothered to ask the question.
FenixTx972 2 Posted October 26, 2008 I benched him for campbell @ detroit.
PDrax 0 Posted October 26, 2008 I benched him for campbell @ detroit. These things have a way of coming back and biting you....
Zackattack 0 Posted October 26, 2008 I have been contemplating the same with Rivers. I still have Warner so he is a great backup but he has a bad matchup too at Carolina.
Wheaties 0 Posted October 26, 2008 I have been contemplating the same with Rivers. I still have Warner so he is a great backup but he has a bad matchup too at Carolina. Similar situation too... Brees with Warner backup. Not sure it's going to be an improvement putting Warner in the lineup at Carolina.
Zackattack 0 Posted October 26, 2008 Similar situation too... Brees with Warner backup. Not sure it's going to be an improvement putting Warner in the lineup at Carolina. Every time I bench Rivers he has a good game.
rise&demise 0 Posted October 26, 2008 I benched Brees last week in favor of Schaub. If I hadn't I would have lost. I intend to do the same this week. Like it or not, weather is going to be a factor. The field will be totally saturated by game time. What happened in London last year is burned in my memory. Brees is a much riskier play than Schaub in my opinion. If you have a good alternative it would be silly not to consider it.
detroitparty 0 Posted October 26, 2008 Is the weather that bad? Its gonna kill me to bench him. My other option is Warner @ Carolina. Dont know what to do

That may be the best matchup this week.
westlak 1 Posted October 26, 2008 Is the weather that bad? Its gonna kill me to bench him. My other option is Warner @ Carolina. Dont know what to do There's a big difference in London this year. Last year the wind was gusting 25-40 mph which is what eliminated the passing game and not the wet field conditions. The forecast calls for winds 10 mph and no mention of gusting. I'm playing Brees with total confidence.

Granted, it rains 342 days a year in London, but this game isnt supposed to be that bad. Brees over Warner is a no brainer, Warner v Rivers is a bit tougher.. sta 5 Posted October 26, 2008 I just benched Brees for Shaub, but if I did not a real good backup I would have left him in.

Cstriker 2 Posted October 26, 2008 This is the toughest call to make this week. My gut feeling says bench Brees this week because its shitty weather in London. I'm also a colston owner. But then i have to start Garcia at dallas..which is not a bad matchup.
MTSkiBum 1,606 Posted October 26, 2008 The weather looks to be 56 degrees, very light winds, and only a 20% chance of rain. Kickoff is at 6pm GMT. http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/busi...topnav_business

AintNoStoppinMeNow 68 Posted October 26, 2008 Something to keep in mind...Antonio Cromartie is on the injury report and may not play. That's a big blow to an already crappy SD secondary.
rise&demise 0 Posted October 26, 2008 Yes, weather at game time may end up being more of a non-factor. Now I am leaning towards Brees.
The Rammers 0 Posted October 26, 2008 Brees seems like a god play. How bout Colston or Moore? Are they both good plays today? Any thoughts?
idiotekniQues 0 Posted October 26, 2008 i just re-activated colston with these new weather reports showing no gusts, low winds and maybe very little rain.
Dr.Grimm 0 Posted October 26, 2008 Brees 300 and 3 TDs I wonder how many benched him in panic.

Antiramie 50 Posted October 26, 2008 Don't worry, I started him. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Wheaties 0 Posted October 26, 2008 I kept Brees in the starting lineup... but Warner would have produced just as well. Hopefully, that guy who posted earlier didn't actually bench Brees in favor of Jeff Garcia.
Jimmy007 0 Posted October 26, 2008 just back from the game....Brees was fantastic!

mrgymrat 0 Posted October 27, 2008 Yes, Brees should be benched in WEEK 9! (He'll probably still outscore somebody).
sjanson 0 Posted October 27, 2008 NBYS! (Brees owner who didnt even consider benching him this week)
mrgymrat 0 Posted October 27, 2008 I also have Warner and have never considered benching Brees. I have tried to trade Warner for a WR but no takers. Is Warner the #2 QB in the league after today's performance?
