Dallas_Empire 0 Posted December 16, 2008 ... the Boys can make the playoffs. Always knew that dude had at least half a brain. See his Week 15 Rant video... http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/index Colts/Cowboys was my prediction at the start of the season, and of course I am sticking by it until it becomes impossible. The AFC just isn't scary this year. I see the Colts as a team that simply knows how to win at this point, and will be able to knock off the Jets or Titans of the conference. The NFC is weak this year and the Giants have been exposed as frauds. The Panthers are a joke team that is doing it with smoke and mirrors. We can beat the rest of the chump teams easily. Steve Young is a genius and he is far too intelligent to be on ESPN.

mrgymrat 0 Posted December 16, 2008 Colts will have a tough time if they play in PIT. Panthers have the right mixture to win it all... solid running game, big time WR and physical DST that can get sacks and shut people down. Peaking at good time. Colts lack of a consistent running game will hurt them and they need Bob Sanders playing every week to have a chance. I don't see those two things improving. As for the Cowboys, too many hurdles. KSB2424 3,148 Posted December 16, 2008 The main reason I disagree with the Cowboys making it is that they would have to win almost, if not all the playoff games on the road. I just don't see that happening. Can they make the playoffs? Sure. Can they win a first round game? Absolutely. I just don't think they can do that 3 times in a row. jgcrawfish 232 Posted December 16, 2008 The Giants won three road games last year and the Steelers won three road games a few years ago. Try again. The Cowboys are neither of those teams Your bit is getting old, essentially your team has to win 2 just to make the dance then has to prove they can even win a playoff game IF they get there (which again, they won't). I'll be really curious how much we see you after the Ravens kick your ass this weekend, and which bandwagon you'll go flying onto afterward, just like last year... HTH Really, care to base that on facts or are you just hoping? Their last 5 playoff appearances would suggest otherwise I am assuming this is just a jab at Dallas Empires post, because most rational people know that just because Dallas hasn't won a playoff game the past couple years doesn't mean it is totally impossible. mzf5c5 0 Posted December 16, 2008 At least you guys like the Colts chances more than Dallas, I actually agree with Young, Colts do know how to win now in the playoffs, which makes them dangerous, just like Pats, if they make it in, dangerous team in the playoffs. Chargers are already done.

Chargers are already done. Dallas will destroy the Colts in the Superbowl. So the Colts know how to win in the playoffs? Then why did Manning always lose to Brady and the pats. I asked the question: CAN the Cowboys win a first round playoff game? My answer was Absolutely. Any rational person would read that as: it is totally possible for them to win a game. I didn't say they WILL absolutely win a playoff game. Gawd you guys suck.

Man oh Man this post couldn't be any more wrong (with the exception of the Panthers comments)...From an unbiased point of view, the Colts have already beaten Pittsburgh IN PITT...Sure the Colts running game isn't great, they have been serviceable enough to set up the PA pass, and Addai is getting healthier and Saturday is coming back soon, which will help tremendously...Bob Sanders probably could have played the last few weeks, but why test him against the BROWNS, BENGALS, and LIONS...He is as important to the Colts Defense as anyone else in the league, and his presence is absolutely crucial. He will be healthy, and is already said he will play this week, if he stays healthy, the Colts defense will be very very legit...Member what they did the year the won the superbowl?? Gave up like 190 yards/game in the regular season, Sanders comes back and they shut down Larry Johnson and Jamal Lewis (2 of the best running teams in the league), and go on to win the SuperBowl... I'm not saying they will win the SB, but I like there chances as much as anyone elses, and they will be playing healthy and peaking at the right time of the year... Dallas_Empire 0 Posted December 16, 2008 This is silly. If Carolina gets home field throughout by winning this week, they are going to the Super Bowl. Dallas can beat the Panthers. We have a great offense and our defense is #1 in sacks. No one is throwing deep on us anymore ever since Roy got hurt. Roy was a liability and now the dallas defense is going into the playoffs hot. For Dallas to finish the year strong........ It is going to come down to Playing Philly in Philly, just the way it should be. All the drunk Philly fans will be let out of the Lincoln Field Jail just about the time the Dallas bus arrives at the stadium. That way the Philly fans can throw beer and animal feces at the Cowboys. On a cold crisp cloudy day. They will have won their 4th straight game, and thinking they are prime for destiny. The Cowboys will put a whipping on then and the bus will already be packed. The Cowboys will exit the field and go right to the team bus and leave, knowing staying around a bunch of drunk, broken hearted Philly fans could get you killed. The Phill fans will turn on each other bitter and mad that dallas has beaten them by 30 points. They will riot and loot the city in search of vengenge but will end up drunk and passed out in some rat infested alley with their pants around their ankles and a sore rectum. Serves the Eagles fans for being annoying bums. Then Dallas will streak into the playoffs with a defense on fire and an offense led by Witten, Romo, MBIII and T.O. We will beat the Panthers if we play them because we are a better team. Steve Smith is a midget WR and he can't score on us. Smoke and mirrors are at play and the panthers can't get it done. I should point out that the Colts were extremely fortuitous to beat the Steelers. Manning had a sure INT go thru the cornerbacks hand and into Reggie Waynes, who then ran 60 yrds to the endzone. From that game on the Steelers have focused on protecting the ball and cutting down on turnovers and have yet to lose since then. It's a big if, but IF the Steelers had limited turnovers vs the Colts, Giants and Eagles, you'd be talking about them being undefeated.

Dallas_Empire 0 Posted December 16, 2008 And Manning does not have a good playoff history. Outside of their Superbowl team he has been pretty bad, and that team had a much better defense. Bingo! Peyton is not a good playoff QB. He has only had one good playoff run and that was when his defense carried him. The Colts had the worst run defense during the regular season and they nutted up and became a great run stopping team in the playoffs when Sanders returned. Peyton also had his worst statistical year the season he won the Superbowl.

The fact that his team has won a playoff game in the last decade has a big something to do with it. great logic though...Dallas will beat indy in the superbowl because Peyton isn't a good playoff QB... for a guy who claims to have a 200 IQ it sure seems like my dog displays better logic than you do, and at least he doesn't lay claim to other people writings... Everything is a big if...But the Colts secondary has played tremendous, with 2 or more INTs in like 4 of their last 5 or 6 games... If Mike Vanderjagt doesn't completely miss a 40 yard field goal wide right against the Steelers a few years ago, maybe we win the Super Bowl that year....
