gocolts 300 Posted February 26, 2009 Wiff, me2006 dwarfs you with his intelligence. You may have more wisdom, but that is only because you are like 40 years older then him. HTH Bigtime. I am not so sure about wiff having more wisdom. If he does, he sure has a funny way of showing it. ETA~
swamp dog 0 Posted February 26, 2009 Ugh....I heard about that somewhere. Forgot about that. Why can't there be a good fiscal conservative candidate who is not so deeply rooted in religion? Why does it have to go hand in hand? I can't stand the base of the Repub party... because the gops have wh0red themselves out to the religious right with the abortion issue. not to mention the religious right has this twisted logic that baby jesus is all about economic and social darwinism. the entire right needs an extended retreat on an island somewhere with dr. phil. SUXBNME 1,636 Posted February 26, 2009 ) Bigtime. I am not so sure about wiff having more wisdom. If he does, he sure has a funny way of showing it. ETA~80 Naa...Wiff definately (sp?) has more wisdom. He's been around the block alot more then Me2006. Then again, Wiff might just be more intelligent then Me2006. My definition: Intelligence is something that you are born with. Nothing that you can do in life will ever increase or decrease it. Wisdom is how one uses their intelligence to amass knowledge and properly comprehend it. Ok...I'm drunk, but mebbe tomorrow I will attempt to expand on this.. Honestly...There is a difference, but I can't seem to type my thoughts out properly right now

I'll disagree with you a bit here. I do agree that it's a shame they have tied themselves to the religious right, since there is alot more to the issues than just abortion and gay rights. As far as the rest of the issues. I'm a pretty hard line conservative for the most part. I want to run my own life, and the less the government meddles with it....the better. BMoney 0 Posted February 26, 2009 See, I know you prolly don't believe this, but I don't care what the media said nor do I hardly ever watch those news shows or radio. That is not research. I go on what I think, not follow what others think. It's not a sheepesh mindset. I thought the fact that he dumbed down "true" conservative points like letting the people and the private sector do what they want with their own money and not bigger gov't was key. He even kinda took a shot at Bush for not doing this. I could care less what the media says, I am going on my own reaction. Why do I have to look up something on the internet to tell me what I think? I started this thread to see what geeks thought of the speech. Not what Chris Matthews or some media guy thought. because a lot of people these days cant think for themselves? look at the main reasons they said they were voting for O... either way...i liked Jindal in Slumdog Millionaire...
