Melissa Stark 1 Posted August 16, 2009 I liked what I saw from Smith last season and had him on my roster. I think he is the safer pick out of the both, Smith is clearly the starter and not mired in a RBBC. Even though it's the Liedowns, I'll take them over the Faiders. jgcrawfish 232 Posted August 16, 2009 Kinda like the jab you threw out at me when talking about RTS? Pot meet kettle jeebus... although I hate to agree with FlaHawker (on anything) I have really liked rtsports. i've been on cbs sportsline and wish my league would leave it. i just don't see it as worth price. less money into the site equals more into our pockets at the end or lower per person costs at the beginning. rtsports is more customizable than cbs, but without all the fluff. yahoo is doing free stat tracker all year long, but again, you get what you pay for there on content and custom features. i've done myfantasyleague.com before, wasn't real impressed with it but noticed that IBL team is on there if i recall. if that's a "jab" then you're a bigger virginia than i've thought you were all along (fyi...that's a jab). get your panties wadded much??? Gladiators 1,987 Posted August 16, 2009 Exactly my point this shouldn't even be a question. Smith is 30-40 fantasy points ahead of McFadden lol...
swirvenirvin 25 Posted August 16, 2009 lol... Oh no it's not what all the experts in your magazine from April you read are saying?? Someone has a different opinion than the norm?! I would break the projections down to you, but it's not worth my time.
DamageIncVacc 6 Posted August 16, 2009 Not that it means alot but something to consider. Raiders' McFadden 'close' to passing Fargas? Darren McFadden - RB - OAK - Aug. 16 - 12:37 a.m. ET Coach Tom Cable said late Saturday that Darren McFadden is "pretty close" to passing Justin Fargas to be Oakland's starting tailback. Cable was asked about fans wanting McFadden to get 20 touches a week. "I was thinking more touches than that," he answered. However, he oddly hedged that by saying, "I’ll tell you the same thing about Justin Fargas and Michael Bush. I know where we're headed."

Dice_Dominator 0 Posted August 16, 2009 Mcfadden = better player Smith = better situation (no platoon) Go with smith
Kent 228 Posted August 16, 2009 Isn't it Smith no contest? He's not in a committee and had a pretty good fantasy season last year.
dirtywhiteboy01 0 Posted August 17, 2009 kevin smith is better. He will be a stud while Mcfadden is unproven and most likely running in a three headed platoon. Oakland fans are demanding DMac get the most touches. I think the key will be how early he has a breakout game (150+ yds). If he does this in the first 2 or 3 games then the coaching staff will have no choice but make him the stud.I wathced DMac every week for 3 years as a Razorback fan. He is indeed a stud. I used to think Felix Jones might be ust as good, if not better until I watched McFadden take on the entire Alabama Crimson Tide Defense one night. He is a beast...and a very fast beast at that. extrmmxer 2 Posted August 17, 2009 Great conversation here. I have both of these guys (KSmith & DMC) and I'm pretty excited about them both. I look at my roster after my draft and I checked out my starters, flex players, etc. Just going through it in my mind. I come to DMC. I'm thinking, I might have too wait and see how they use him before I throw him in my starting lineup. I took a look at KSmith and he's a lock starter. I know how they'll use him. That's the difference between the two. One, you know what you got and the other might be a wait and see. I'll add more speculation to this topic. The Raiders signed Lorenzo Neal. We all know what that Rhino produces. 1000 yrd rushers, year after year. If I had a choice of just one, I'd go with KSmith. It's a tough call though. Try to get them both.....hahaha
