listen2me 23 1,873 Posted October 5, 2009 Definitely disagree that it's that obvious. In my opinion, top two round picks are not bench material. In general I play the players, not the matchups. This game I had questions because of LT's injury, which is an exception. Factors tonight were, LT being old, LT being injured, Pitts D. 3 factors not with LT. LT is all but done as a starting fantasy RB, he shouldn't even get the majority of touches on his own team. Its just his time, and to me its obvious. How many good games do ANY RBs have against Pitt? That is an exception to not playing matchups. When they shut down all RBs every game, how can you not factor in matchup? Really makes no sense not to. In no way do I sit studs on any old bad matchup compared to a bench player. I think that is where the "never bench your studs" guys get it all wrong. No one is saying look to play matchups each week. But this year I sat CJ week 1 vs. Pitt and Forte once. I am very happy over the result. It's not smart to be so close minded to where you never give benching a top 2 pick a thought, nor is it smart to look to play matchups each week and over think all the time. There is a happy medium. Thank you New England from the Steeler Nation for taking care of business vs the Ravens. Buying you a beer.
lambert58 71 Posted October 5, 2009 As a Steelers fan, I am happy with the win. As someone who started Mendenhall and Rivers I am focking Thrilled... Gave me a huge comeback win in my fantasy league. btw, I think Mendenhall looked awesome. He did everything well. He ran hard, Had good burst, Caught the ball well, and did a great job blocking. I'm hoping Parker "heals" for the next two games as Pittsburgh plays Detroit and Cleveland.
RSersen 0 Posted October 5, 2009 I'm hoping Parker "heals" for the next two games as Pittsburgh plays Detroit and Cleveland. As a Steeler fan, if Mendenhall duplicates this kind of performance against DET and CLE....Parker can spend the rest of the season "healing" himself on the bench. bweiser831 0 Posted October 5, 2009 Can someone explain to me why the Chargers didn't challenge the first-half catch on the sideline, I think it was by Wallace? He was up in the air came down with one foot and was knocked out of bounds. Since there is no 'forceout' in the NFL, he was OB and it should have been no catch - right? Shouldn't have been a catch. Turner blew it by not challenging - he would have easily won it.
RoadLizard 73 Posted October 5, 2009 Why does San Diego continually get labeled as a SB contender year after year? They always come up short and they are getting worse, not better. LT2 is a BUM. The WR corps is over-rated. The defense is sh!t. Norv Turner is a perennial loser. I mean, what the fock?
