lexdizzle 1 Posted October 28, 2009 i am considering picking up Marcedes Lewis this week. The Titans have given up so many fantasy points this year against the pass and all three had good games against them a few weeks ago. Is this too much of a risk and what are the chances they put up the same kind of numbers?
TennisMenace 156 Posted October 28, 2009 I don't think it is too risky. Certainly Garrard and Sims-Walker is easy. The TE, if yours is on bye, is also not a bad option. I picked him for one emergency week and he was butter for me.
jerryskids 7,220 Posted October 28, 2009 I'm kinda down on Lewis. I picked him up as a bye week fillin for Gonzo and he was money, got me 17 in a PPR. Hasn't done jack since tho (that was week 5 I think). Played Garrard (Brees bye) and MSW the week MSW went whooring and the Jags got pollaxed by Seattle, that didn't go well. So yeah, it is kinda risky, but as mentioned above, they are good matchups. I actually view the WR/TE combo as a "safe" play in general. You figure they're going to get some points but not sure who will get the luvin. I've done it with VJax and Gates (no TE req'd) in my $$$ league.
McPhreak 0 Posted October 28, 2009 I think it's always risky to start 3 players from the same team, particularly if it's a QB and two of his receivers. All you need is for the QB to have an off day (like McNabb vs. the Raiders) and all three of your players and therefore team are screwed. Or MJD will run all over Tennessee in a blowout and you're screwed. The risk/reward is not worth in IMO.
fatguylittlecoat 13 Posted October 28, 2009 FOOLISH, TITANS HAD 13 DAYS TO THINK HOW AWFUL THEY'VE BEEN, IF THEY ARE TO DO ANYTHING THIS YEAR, IT WILL BE THIS SUNDAY BOTH ON OFFENSE AND DEFENSE. AGAIN, 13 DAYS COMING OFF A THRASHING, THEY'LL COME OUT WITH FOAM COMING OUT OF THEIR MOUTHS.
FeelingMN 273 Posted October 28, 2009 Garrard has yet to throw for a TD on the road this year. And generally speaking has been pretty awful on the road too. Too many eggs in just a so-so basket. I think you gotta start MSW....maybe Garrard if you don't have better options......and I'd pass on Lewis altogether.....go out and pick up Donald Lee....he's playing the Vikes who've had a tough time covering TEs this year. You dont typically get a QB, and more than one WR having a big day ont the same day. it can happen.... I just wouldnt bet on it. Sims walker is a must start..... Garrard- depends on what other QB's you have. Lewis: dont bother.

He really seems to care................about what I have no idea."
