fatguylittlecoat 13 Posted November 20, 2009 If his calf injury heals, he's in a pass heavy offense, good climate, best schedule for pass D's for the next 6 weeks, Owen Daniels is OUT and gets single coverage on every play. HMMMMMMMMMM

HMMMMMMMMMM ....and only plays about 15 snaps a game. NO THANKS
Eriadoc 4 Posted November 20, 2009 If you get return yardage points, Jacoby might be worth a spot start now and again. He'll get solid return yardage and then a receiving TD now and again. In my league, JJ has more points than Nate Burleson and Jeremy Maclin, and has two fewer points than Donald Driver. WRs don't score a ton of points in my league aside from TDs, so it depends on your situation, I suppose.
handbanana 47 Posted November 20, 2009 In my league where you get individual return yardage and TDs, a guy that does that AND gets in the offense is a great guy to have. 6 years ago, when D Mason was a Titan and doing double duty he was the #1 wideout in our league. This year, JJ is a top 10 WR in my league. If he plays this weekend, I will play him over Avery to pair with VJax and Welker.
madd futher mucker 36 Posted November 20, 2009 In a 12 team league, without any value added for return yardage, if you have to look at Jacoby as anything more than an extremely inconsistent WR3-4, then your play-off chances are slim. but as noted, he's a significantly better play in leagues that do give you credit for return yardage. But if you can't use return yardage, in two words, Jacoby Jones = BIG RISK.
WR Guru 31 Posted November 20, 2009 Depends on what your other options are. He'll be boom or bust. If he doesn't hit a longball, chances are his numbers will be pretty meager. Not a guy who is going to catch 6 or 7 balls. Now this calf problem puts a damper on what value he did have. Speed guys with a bad wheel aren't likely to be very effective. gridiron whirlwinds 10 Posted November 20, 2009 I am thinking about adding him. He is a big play waiting to happen....the best talent behind Andre IMO. I am going to add him over Walter....I am in a TD only league. Jacoby Jones = Playmaker He would be my #4 WR and i am in a keeper league.......i may keep him as I think he could be the #2 WR at Houston
MTSkiBum 1,626 Posted November 20, 2009 I own Jacoby Jones in both of my dynasty leagues. I am going to wait on him to mature. I think he has what it takes to be a solid #2 WR for fantasy teams, however i dont see him emerging this year.
da_mane_man 1 Posted November 20, 2009 i'm starting him over greg jennings in a return yardage league.
fatguylittlecoat 13 Posted November 21, 2009 I think everyone is looking at stats pre Owen Daniels injury so when you couple the schedule with 3 wide sets, I would think he'll start having 6 catches each week. Just a hunch.
ROYALWITCHEESE 0 Posted November 21, 2009 You guys do know he hasn't practiced in 2 weeks because of a calf injury right? I like him too, but not right now...
gridiron whirlwinds 10 Posted November 21, 2009 I am aware of his injury......but I would like to get him for my playoff run and also as maybe a keeper for next season
fatguylittlecoat 13 Posted November 22, 2009 Practiced Saturday, I'll probably sit him this week but don't be surprised if he hauls in a TD on Monday night.
