Hey guys!

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to stop buy and say. "Hi!". Everything is fine here. I had a really nice Dr. MLK, Jr. day - went to the local parade and post-parade ceremony. I'm interested to hear how you guys comemorated MLK day.

This morning I had to meet with an engineering inspector about a municipal code violation for which I was cited - I live on a corner lot and some trees were encroaching in the sight visibility triangle - I pruned them Saturday afternoon. He said it looked good to him, but his boss will give the final ok next week. He was a nice enough guy.

I'm taking a late lunch and paying a few bills online. Probably hit an AA meeting afterwork, maybe some hoops afterward, not sure yet. Mulling over a dinner invite from this gal at work I used to bang . . . not sure if it's a good idea.

Only definite thing left on today's agenda is some cocoa before bed and some snuggly time with my cat.

I hope you guys have a super day!

Didn't do much to celebrate MLK day as we do not observe it up here in northern Minny :dunno:

I exercised my civil liberties on MLK day by going to a gun range and shooting pistolas. I can shoot gangsters in the face from 50 feet away. :dunno:

I focked 9 times these last 3 days. So I guess it was a pretty successful 3 day weekend. :dunno:

Hey dude!

In about 4 months I have this killer exam that I will need to pass in order to proceed on to my rotations. Its step 1 of the USMLE. Its been hanging over my head for a while now but I set this weekend down, as a time to start organizing my studying time for the next few months. I think my heaviest studying will still be done about 8 weeks out from the actual exam but I need to start strategizing. I ran through a practice exam this weekend without any studying and now I am in a panic mode. I'm looking in the mirror and asking myself what the fock have i been doing the past year and a half. If anyone is really bored they can print out this sample test and see if they can wing it.

So, thanks MLK for giving me this weekend to reexamine my priorities. I'm probably going to be pretty miserable to be around the next few months. so, I'm not sure how my relationship is going to hold out. Luckily football is winding down and February is a bad month for sports (i don't watch a lot of TV except sports). Got to get rid of the distractions and focus.

This looked like one of the easier questions:

A 30-year-old woman whose mother and

grandmother have died of carcinoma of the

breast refuses to have mammography. She says

that she knows she is at risk but states, "I hate

having my breasts squashed–it's uncomfortable."

Her physician would like her to have annual

mammograms. Which of the following is most

likely to influence her to agree to

mammography?

(A) Exaggerate her risk for breast cancer

(Bee) Insist that she obtain counseling

regarding unresolved grief

© Offer analgesia prior to mammography

(D) Show her photographs of the results of

untreated cancer

(E) Tell her that the therapeutic relationship

will be terminated unless she has

annual mammograms

Thinking it's definitely not A,B, or E.

D also seems a little too manipulative to be professionally encouraged (though I could see that happening a lot). And official PSA's use those kinds of tactics. Hmmm. No idea about how casually analgesia is offered but if it can be casual...final answer is 60% leaning C. 50% leaning D.

The correct anwser would be:

F: Go out, get some cack in ya, and the boobie will take care of itself.

How'd I do?

yeah, c was the right answer

There are a few others that are commonsense:

An 8-year-old boy needs to be coaxed to go to

school and, while there, often complains of

severe headaches or stomach pain. His mother

frequently has to take him home because of his

symptoms. At night, he tries to sleep with his

parents. When they insist that he sleep in his own

room, he says that there are monsters in his

closet. Which of the following best explains this

behavior?

(A) Childhood schizophrenia

(B Normal concerns of latency-age

children

c Separation anxiety disorder

(D) Socialized conduct disorder

(E) Symbiotic psychosis
