Big_Pete 0 Posted May 4, 2010 its not meant to knock Tebow. I just consider him to be a great football player more so than a great "quarterback". I mean technically he played QB so he goes down as a great QB but just like Crouch or even Vick, I view them as having been great college athletes, players. Thats all I was trying to say. and I was not saying Colt Brennan was a better QB. I think that the problem with Crouch and Vick is that neither of them has had a QB coach the likes of Josh McDaniels. Tebow, Crouch, Vick, Young, they were all drafted in the 1st round of the NFL, so we know that they have talent in spades. However, none of them had a coach that knows how to coach QBs a fraction as well as Tebow has in Denver w/McDaniels. That will be the reason why he becomes more like Elway, and less like Crouch/Vick/Young. Remember, under Weiss/McDaniels, a 6th round bench warming QB turned into a 3 time super bowl winner and possible future HOF. Under McDaniels, a career college and NFL backup, someone who wasn't even good enough to see starting game time in college turned into a "franchise" QB And remember, McDaniels turned Orton into a capable and competent starting QB who put up almost 4,000 yards and had a 2:1 TD:INT ratio after being basically a cast off and career backup/doormat. With a coach who can do that, the sky is the freaking limit with Tebow, who is more talented than Brady, Orton, or Cassel coming out of college.

Crouch was actually drafted by the Rams as a WR and never played a game for them after an inury. He ended up with the Chiefs and was converted to safety at some point. IGotWorms 4,060 Posted May 6, 2010 Under McDaniels, a career college and NFL backup, someone who wasn't even good enough to see starting game time in college turned into a "franchise" QB Well if McDaniels can magically turn ANY quarterback picked in the sixth round into a future hall of famer, why the hell did they waste a first round pick on Tebow??? I didn't say any. But if he sees a player with certain traits/skills, he can turn them into studs!
Kitsnow 0 Posted May 6, 2010 Studs? Is it time to put Tebow out to pasture maybe he can breed a real QB.
phlegmish 4 Posted May 6, 2010 I didn't say any. But if he sees a player with certain traits/skills, he can turn them into studs! GRAB THAT QUINN GUY QUICK THEN... Teblow is the 3rd best QB "prospect" on his own focking team...... maybe 4th best...
IGotWorms 4,060 Posted May 9, 2010 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.

Sho Nuff 720 Posted May 10, 2010 I didn't say any. But if he sees a player with certain traits/skills, he can turn them into studs! Based on Tom Brady who was already a stud before McDaniels ever got there? Or because Cassel was ok in his one year with him? Where is all of this proof that he turns a player in to a stud?
