KSB2424 3,148 Posted June 19, 2010 Hey guys, Like last year I've really enjoyed the June mock. I realize ya'll have been doing this for a while now but I just wanted to throw something out there for next year. Why not 16 rounds? 1.) in a snake draft it must be an even number to be completely fair. 2.) this is also a mock for others to look at and 16 rounds is probably more prevelant than 15 round leagues. 3.) Considering this is a "No Hassle" and one cannot pick up players due to injury or anything, one more roster spot would make sense. A second TE, or 5th WR, or that back up D, ect. Just tossing it out there, it really is no big deal.
WhiteWonder 2,734 Posted June 19, 2010 i would be all for an extra round though I dont care about 15 vs 16 being "completely fair". The fact that the 12th pick gets to lead off round 16 I dont think makes up for picking last at the top if he hates that spot.
robb 81 Posted June 19, 2010 Doubt we would need a second defense due to injury....but possibly for a second kicker as they do get injured!
remote controller 143 Posted June 19, 2010 If we were to change anything i think it should be a change to ppr, as that seems to be more the norm with the changing state of rbbc in the NFL.

WhiteWonder 2,734 Posted June 23, 2010 Possibly adding to our D/ST scoring? If I understand everything correctly, we get points for defensive and return td's as well as safeties and nothing else. The top defense in 2009 was New Orleans at a whopping 3.4 fantasy points per game. The teams right after them were 2.5, 1.75, 1.6, 1.6 and so on. An everage top 12 defense is scoing about 1.6 points per week in our setup. I seriously considered not drafting a defense (i will in round 15) and will only do so because this mock is a tool for FFToday. What is more valuable, 1.6 points per week or an extra positional player to guard against injury or to possibly put up a nice week in the best ball format? Even kickers are gonna get you about 7 points per week.

This way you still get a guage of the top Defenses but they don't play heavily into the way the mock falls positionally, and if you know what I just said you are smarter than me.
