It's an Exciting Time to Be a Seahawks fan

Recommended Posts

It must have been exciting to watch the ass-raping that was going on. Most one-sided playoff game since the Bears destroyed every playoff team in 1985.

So exciting.....BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Its always better to have been assraped in the 2nd round of the playoffs than to not have been assraped at all...sometimes.

Hey ######:

I watched that crappyarsed non-competitive game yesterday and laughed my ass off thinking about what a blowhard ###### you were all week and how you came crashing down to realize the Seahags are just a bad 7-9 team that was lucky enough to be in a historically awful division.

I hope you cried yesterday. :first:

Hey, sweett!ts, we haven't seen you around here since Seattle blew out the Bears back in Week 6.

Where were you hiding? Did chemo go well? We were hoping it didn't. Were you chewing your pedicured ape toes while Seattle was making the score close in the 4th quarter? Well, the Bears won as many playoff games as Seattle this year. That's something.

Yeah because no real talent can be found at the bottom of a draft to fill holes. Gee maybe the NFL should cancel the first round after the first oh what 15 picks or so. Keep those incorrect generalizations coming though. They are quite entertaining.

are you insinuating that an NFL franchise in a rebuilding mode wouldn't want the highest draft pick it could have?

once again you have failed to be reasonable and are only holding onto some sort of grudge. I never said Seattle couldn't find great players later in the first round or in later rounds for that matter.

doesn't change the fact that higher draft picks are often coveted unless cash is the issue.

once again, im trying to discuss an issue and your petty issues get in the way.

Seattle also has that future franchise cornerstone Charlie Whitehurst to fall back on, when current stud Matt Hasselcrap finally retires. :first:

No, you stated that only "solid" teams can benefit from having later picks in round one. My point is very simple: NFL star players can be found throughout the round and they will be able to help ANY team. Just because a team has a higher draft pick doesn't guarentee a higher return on investment. (See Aaron Curry vs Clay Matthews).

If you really want to discuss issues, you need to use common sense and logic first. I mean to suggest that Seattle is some how worse off beacause they have a lower round pick is ludicrous, especially since we have not yet seen what moves they will make in FA and because we don't yet know all the players who wil be coming out early. Would they prefer a higher pick? Sure. But having the #4 pick a few years didn't exactly pay off. Why? because Ruskell took the wrong guy. If you take the right guy, no matter where you pick, your team will be improved. If Schneider and Carroll do their HW and get the right guy, the #25 pick could be just as valuable, if not more so, than a top ten pick.

MDC rooting against the Seahawks because he thinks it somehow impacts my life  Trust me MDC, I barely think about you even when I'm posting a response to your drivel. All the smileys in the world won't change the fact that the Seahags proved that they were a 3rd rate fluke franchise that didn't belong anywhere near the playoffs. Congratulations on your "awesome" year though, 10 losses and a low draft pick, you most be stoked.

Yaayyy......You got to play 1 extra game than the Eagles.

And your loser team got it's asses handed to them in that extra game.

So what do you call winning 10 games in the regular season and choking out of the playoffs right away? Is that considered a "good" season.

Seattle only won two less games then Philly, including a playoff game. All this in a rebuilding year.

Philly was supposed to be a championship-caliber team.

Just stop Philly fans.

Please name one person that realistically felt that the Eagles were a super bowl contender entering this season. Most eagles fans I know had predicted 9-7 at best. And considering what the packers did to the number one seed this past weekend, I highly doubt most people would consider the eagles' loss a choke.

Seattle and the Eagles are both out of the playoffs. Both teams have equally crapped the bed of their fans. The season is a fail for both.

Nobody called the Eagles a champioship caliber team....Nobody.

Most experts had them dead last in the division, in a state of rebuild.

You are dead wrong

Horsesh!t. The media was discussing the Eagles as a Superbowl contender from the point Vick took over and performed well. What people thought of them entering the season is irrelevant and even if you want to cherry pick that point in time they were still expected to do a hell of a lot better then the Seattle Seahawks. Again, this was a rebuilding year in Seattle.

The season is a fail for the Eagles.

I wouldnt call it a successful year for Seattle, but there was some redemption at the end.

Keep trying though kids.

The Bus thought Philly was championship caliber:

Bettis

The Eagles are the best team in the NFC. The way they’ve been winning is how you build championship-caliber character. They’re beating the teams they’re supposed to, pulling out comeback victories and last-second wins, and their only loss since Michael Vick came back from his rib injury was at Chicago, arguably the toughest NFC venue. They’re more playoff-ready than any other team, having performed so well with the pressure on. I expect more success against the Vikings tonight.

Peter King had them ranked 3rd in the league a month ago

NBC Sports politely implying Eagles choked

Instead, the team that only three weeks ago seemed destined to parlay the Miracle in the New Meadowlands into a return visit to Cowboys Stadium lost three in a row to finish the season, ending a promising campaign far earlier than anyone thought it would.

From Fox Sports

Just a couple weeks ago, Vick was considered an MVP candidate and the Eagles were the talk of the NFL. They had just staged an incredible rally to beat the New York Giants, were 10-4 and in position to earn a first-round bye.

But a stunning loss to lowly Minnesota on Dec. 28 in a game that was postponed two days because of a snow storm in Philadelphia cost the Eagles a bye, and it seemingly dashed their chances to make a deep run.

Anyone who watched the Eagles throughout this season and saw the way they closed the year is not surprised by the playoff outcome. The team hit its stride midyear but spent the last month of the regular season eeking out ugly last minute wins against bad teams like the Texans or losing to the likes of the Vikings. They also played a strong Packers team that could end up representing the NFC in the Super Bowl and despite playing pretty poorly the Eagles were in a position to win in the final minutes. Most of the national media picked the Packers to win that game.

Here's the thing: The Seahawks 8-10 overall record and flukey wild card win would've been the Eagles worst season in years, but your team has been so irrelevant to the NFC conversation for so long that a sub .500 record in the worst division in football probably felt like winning a Super Bowl. I won't be shocked if Seattle finishes 4-12 in last place next season even in that terrible division.

Congrats on your "awesome" year.

Better luck with Charlie Whitehurst next year. Maybe the Suckbags will get lucky and win another 7 regular season games. :(
