Fantasy Fiend 38 Posted October 29, 2013 Ridley has really picked it up the past few weeks but Belichick is a nightmare with his RB Mgmt. Plus Vareen is practicing....Is it time to cut loose and get some value back? Or is he a solid RB2 YTG?
snatchit 108 Posted October 29, 2013 I took a chance on Chris Johnson playing much better after the bye and traded Ridley for him last week. Well the week before TEN played SF. Its ppr and I just saw a higher ceiling with CJ. I think Ridley will be like a Gore Lite... 60 yrds and maybe a TD . BTW Ridley was my # 4 RB so I could take a chance on a homerun guy like CJ. You might not be in the same shoes.
Flgatorguy87 160 Posted October 29, 2013 Swapped Ridley + Sproles for Lev Bell and Joique Bell. I like Ridley, but I don't like the schedule, the offense, or the coach shenanigans. I don't see Bell as much more upside, but I like not having to worry about Ridley fumbling and not touching the ball for the next 5 quarters.

snatchit 108 Posted October 29, 2013 ya I guess that was a big part of trading Ridley for CJ... the fumble benching thingy
IGotWorms 4,063 Posted October 29, 2013 I think he is going to be good from here on out. Vereen is a bit of a threat but their roles are pretty different and Vereen hasn't shown an ability to handle a lot of touches without getting hurt.
Danom 1 Posted October 29, 2013 Ridley may actually perform better (couldn't be much worse) with Vereen in the mix. I hope he can get back to last years form.
Bullet73 4 Posted October 29, 2013 Offered Ridley for Spiller due to Spiller's schedule during the playoffs... however I will not be heartbroken if he declines. I've liked Ridley all season, thus the reason I bought low on him. Glad to see the investment finally paying off a bit.
granta_05 3 Posted October 29, 2013 Considering the overall putrid state of the Patriots passing game, I think Vereen will be heavily involved upon his return. Assuming he can stay healthy, that is. I think Vereen's return will have some impact on Ridley's value, although to what level is hard to say. I think Ridley will still be an OK RB2/Flex option most weeks. He's not a guy I would want to rely on week in and week out, though. I'd gauge the interest on him in the trade market and see if I could get a less risky option in return. I own both in different leagues, so I hope it is a win-win. On Ridley, I'm really pleased at how he as come back. Seems like a good example of not panicking and sticking with a guy. I would consider selling high if I could get something I needed I suppose, as it is hard to trust Bellichick. But I'd be happy keeping him around as well. flyjam 1 Posted October 29, 2013 sell him in a second in a ppr league. i'm glad he's finally producing and helped me pick up a huge win this week, but it's tough when a guy's realistic upside is about 7 points without a td and 13 points with a td when most startable RBs out there are picking up cheap catches left and right. he fell to me late in the 3rd in my main league and i've never seen him drop that far in almost 100 drafts, so i kind of grabbed him without thinking. i regretted that pick about 2 minutes after the fact. in a standard league, he's probably a solid RB2 right now considering the injury/underperformance plague throughout the league. Upper Class Trash 67 Posted October 29, 2013 I don't get the "sell high" thing with Ridley. He was on the waiver wire in two of my PPR Leagues. Not sure how he is viewed in your leagues, but you couldn't trade him for a bag of skittles in mine.

Don't you know that Ridley's not supposed to be on the waiver wire!? The FF experts here are going to let you have it. You're in troubleeeeeee.

Now I'm not sure what to do with him.

Not sure how he is viewed in your leagues, but you couldn't trade him for a bag of skittles in mine. Let me get this straight.... The guy who has been the 5th best RB over the past three weeks (standard scoring, non-ppr leagues), better than guys like Lynch, Bush and McCoy in that time frame, is un-tradeable? I won't even go into the waiver wire nonsense.
