Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted July 27, 2014 I was looking through the player list when a name hit me like a bolt of lightning, Chris Johnson. He has to be the ultimate backup rb in the draft, right? What is his biggest knock? Zero consistency. He has finished with solid overall stats the past few years, but its usually a few huge games, followed by some duds. When Johnson plays a soft opponent he usually lights them up. He plays oakland week 1, buffalo twice, and miami once before week 17. His sched overall is tough, but i bet he was the mvp of backup rbs last year that wasnt counted on to produce every week. Another player to consider is TY Hilton. He really only had about 2 huge games, but as long as he wasnt a starter those games would have been a huge boost. Any other players that make for good best ball assets? Or am i over thinking this? weepaws 2,461 Posted July 27, 2014 Not to sure how many like R Bush as a number one RB . So i see him as a very good number 2 RB
DrG 94 Posted July 27, 2014 Those 2nd and 3rd tier players who go off once in a while can propel your season as long as you don't overdraft them
ralphster 274 Posted July 27, 2014 McCluster interests me in a BB format. As does Wallace, D Jax and Ertz

Same brain. You don't need consistency at all. You're looking for players who, when they score, score big. Consistency is irrelevant. I think you've nailed the players who personify that the most in CJ and Hllton. Vereen might be another. I think Patterson and Harvin will be like that. Kaepernick, Wallace, Stills, defenses with great return men.
Vikings4ever 496 Posted July 27, 2014 Andre Johnson always ends the year as a very good WR, but game to game, he's inconsistent as all fock.

I will target him a little bit earlier in a few drafts. He is mediocre for half the season but always has a few huge games.
Matt Mueller 146 Posted July 28, 2014 If you don't have to draft them too high Welker, E. Sanders, Latimer might be nice options. Some of those guys will post some nice weeks...
