cyclone24 1,932 Posted September 30, 2015 Is anyone dropping him? Let's say it's closer to 6-7 weeks...we are now in fantasy week 10-11 at worst? So he's essentially coming back right at almost playoff time. Keep him rostered that long?
bandrus1 413 Posted September 30, 2015 No way am I dropping him.. He was going to throw for 6000 yards
brotherbock 349 Posted September 30, 2015 They are saying bone bruise could be longest recovery I tried saying something about bone bruises when Hilton got hurt, I think. You can get all kinds of nasty internal bleeding, I mean 'might lose your limb' sort of stuff with a bone bruise. They are no joke. And just solid, nerve wracking pain that won't go away. Aside from that...and I'll get ready to duck here...it wasn't too long ago when Vick led more than one of my teams in that one season to uncontested championships. He's had a high level of play in him before.

The hit looked bad, but i've had a couple of MCL strains from football and basketball and the recovery wasn't nearly what people are saying. Again, admittedly not against 300+ lb elite d-linemen. It would not surprise me to see been back on the practice field in a couple of weeks, lobbying to come back after 3 and back after 4 with a brace on.

But bone bruises come in a wide variety of severities. His might include bleeding between the cartilage and bones in the knee, or just plain old bleeding into the bone itself. Being a knee, that will likely come with a ton of swelling of the rest of the joint. They are really painful, too, far more painful than a muscle or skin bruise. Painful sometimes to the point that you'd like to walk, but your muscles and nerves just refuse to fire properly due to the pain. Could be 4 weeks, could be a lot longer.
