KC Deuce 1 Posted September 28, 2015 I just traded Antonio Brown and Carson Palmer for Julio Jones and Marcus Mariota before this week. I already have Rodgers at QB. Julio paid off BIG TIME today and looks primed for a RECORD year possibly with receptions.

Byrdman5 112 Posted September 28, 2015 Bell comes back and gets 19 and now Ben is out. Of course this hurts Bell. Teams will load the box and make Vick beat them. Bell will still get solid points, but as someone above said, less redzone attempts. Depends how they use Vick. Usually running QBS help the running game. There has to be a defender on Vick at all times in case he takes off, unlike Ben. Maybe less redzone attempts but I think his YPC will increase.
Frozenbeernuts 2,277 Posted September 28, 2015 I almost traded for him this past week but got cold feet at the last second. What did you give up? Golden Tate and Martellus Bennet, in a league where we dont need to start a TE. I am set at receiver so it doesnt matter unless i have a bunch of injuries
Gepetto 1,387 Posted September 28, 2015 It looked like an mcl sprain the moment it happened, if you know the anatomy of the knee and physics.

Law 241 Posted September 28, 2015 MCL sprain!??! No. Wait. I thought he died. Right there on the field. They carted off his carcass and everything. So says this forearm.
Big Blue 06 195 Posted September 28, 2015 I just traded for Ben because my only other quarterback was Cutler. Now I am 0-3 with no starting QB. Outstanding.

jerryskids 6,907 Posted September 28, 2015 Hopefully it is an MCL and not an ACL; the hit was lateral after all. Looks like an MCL sprain. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/1181/ben-roethlisberger That first guy knows stuff.

GornFishin' 57 Posted September 28, 2015 4 to 6 weeks. Lets say 6 to be safe (interestingly 7 weeks would get him to the bye for an extra week recovery) Steelers' schedule for that period. V Balt, @ San Diego, V Arizona, @ KC, V Cincy, V Oakland I think they go from a likely 4-2 or even 5-1 in that period to 2-4 or 3-3. I can't see Vick not melting down at some point. barber2309 26 Posted September 28, 2015 So for a Ben owner with no backup.. I have to pickup Tyrod over Vick right? 100%. Wish I had that option. My best option is probably Carr over Vick or Fitzpatrick.
Ray_T 761 Posted September 28, 2015 Bell comes back and gets 19 and now Ben is out. Of course this hurts Bell. Teams will load the box and make Vick beat them. Bell will still get solid points, but as someone above said, less redzone attempts. This. the weaker offense as a whole will hurt Bell's numbers. The good news is, Bell should be back to full value in time for the stretch run for the post season and for the fantasy playoffs. So long as your team is good enough to stay in playoff contention while they are out, you should be ok.
plasma george 62 Posted September 28, 2015 On a side note, Burger wasn't doing squat before he got hurt. I have Eli on the bench. If Victor Cruz would put the band aid on his Vag and get the fock out there, Eli could work.
seadog54 20 Posted September 28, 2015 going to try to pick up Carr, he has a good matchup next week. And from there, just gonna stream.
Kelvarr 13 Posted September 28, 2015 I already have Carr on my bench...I may run with him...I definitely am not dropping Ben. I just need to decide which injured WR to drop. (Dez, VCruz, DJackson, SWatkins)
murf74 461 Posted September 28, 2015 Ben looked like a man who knew he was done being carted off the field. I'd be surprised as all hell if he was back anywhere close to four weeks He has that look when someone bumps into him in the hallway. Though in all seriousness I partially tore my MCL in HS football (although in those days there were no MRIs for kids like me, but I think I tore it cause I can move my knee in ways it shouldn't today). I was an offensive lineman. I couldn't bend my knee for about a week, but only missed 2 games and was able to play the rest of the year and some college ball too. Of course I didn't have to withstand pro players hits, etc but I was also not a world class athlete or have to have mechanics to throw a football, but I am just throwing it out there just cause everyone really was waiting for my input I will be shocked if he is not back after missing 4 games. Obviously that reply was pretty grounded. Knowing you're a Steelers fan it was hard to tell if emotion had played a part in your four week prognosis. Sounds reasonable, and dude is a tough SOB as it is.

SpenceToons 70 Posted September 29, 2015 DeAngelo Williams exceeded expectations...plausibly because the Pittsburgh system that he was being plugged into was superior to the Carolina system he came from. Now, I'm not suggesting that the above can follow 100% with Vick because Roethlisberger is part of what makes the PIT system ..the PIT system - especially his well-honed connection with Antonio Brown, which Vick won't be able to replicate after just a few practices. But with Brown and Bell, a soon-coming Bryant, and OC Haley around; Vick might turn out to be more serviceable than he was with, say, the Jets. At least, that's what this Le'Veon Bell owner dares to hope.
tanatastic 2,062 Posted September 29, 2015 Vick had no job for a reason. Downgrade all Steeler wrs. Its cute to say Vick loves to throw the bomb and they will be business as usual but its not realistic.

FebruarySun 1 Posted September 29, 2015 Don't think it affects Bell and it may even hurt him. I mean Bell was already at the top, how high can he go? Without Ben he won't get as many red zone trips. I think this hurts Bell, less red zone trips and defenses will be keying on the run now.
jgcrawfish 232 Posted September 30, 2015 Here are my thoughts: -Just about any QB could have a modicum of success with the line that's in front of them and the talent around them. -Brown will still get his. They use him on bubble screens and in the slot on slants too much. He won't be as productive but he's still a lock for 5/50 every week. -Markus Wheaton and Darrius Heyward-Bey take a hit. Vick isn't gonna go long that much because he still doesn't know the offense that well. -Things will change again in week 5 when Bryant comes back -Le'veon Bell is going to find the sledding tougher. If I'm (insert defense here) I'm stacking the box, putting pressure on Vick but playing contain so he doesn't run, and making him beat me with the arm. The guy still has a cannon, which is why I think it changes again with Martavis back, but the next game (or two while he gets up to speed) are going to look pretty bad for the offense. Bottom line is he still has Bell, Brown, Bryant, Wheaton and Miller...that's as good as any 5 skill guys in the league.
