thewrathofkuhn 40 Posted December 8, 2015 Figured it'd be fun to discuss a PPR all-bargin team for the first 13 weeks. Obviously the playoffs are a different animal, but here is my go at it (ADP Draft Rank/Rank) Note, I'm only going to list drafted players – not guys like Barnidge and Baldwin. QB: Cam Newton (11/2) QB: Carson Palmer (20/3) Palmer seems the obvious pick here, but Cam's ADP of 84 (three rounds behind Brady) and his 327 points probably has a lot of teams in the playoffs. Carr and Bortles are also worth noting. As is Dalton. So much QB value in rounds 6 – 10, I think we're going to see a real shift in draft strategies in coming years. It will be interesting to see how drafts go with QB's in terms of 'runs' on the position. I think ADP's for QB's might have to be thrown out the window with huge deviations draft to draft. RB: Devonta Freeman (93/1) RB: Doug Martin (58/4) RB: Chris Ivory (68/6) RB: Danny Woodhead (40/7) Freeman (ADP 93) is the no brainer – even more so when teammate Coleman (76) was going almost two rounds higher. Martin had a ADP of 58 (RB 26), Ivory 68 (RB 29) and Woodhead 107 (RB 40!) which now seems insane given they are ranked 4, 6 and 7 season to date respectively. Somewhere there is a Zero RB team that drafted all three and coasting to a first round bye. Drafting 12th I grabbed Woodhead with the 61st and Ivory with the 85th – a benefit of most teams already sitting on 3 RB's at that point. (Related, if you draft live in person, this worksheet is hands down the greatest tool available. With it you can determine what players / position you can wait on.) WR: DeAndre Hopkins (13/2) WR: Julian Edelman (19/9 pre-injury) WR: Brandon Marshall (24/5) WR: Allen Robinson (25/6) WR: Larry Fitzgerald (35/7) WR: Eric Decker (36/13) (I'm excluding a handful of the FA / un-drafted guys, but will mention them below) Some strong ammo for the skeptics and nay-sayers of the RB-zero strategy – more so when you add-in a lot of the FA guys who have produced from week 1. As with Cam, Hopkins is 3rd highest scoring non-QB, and his late 2nd, early 3rd ADP has probably propelled a lot of teams who hit (or at least broke even) on their 1st and 2nd round picks. (I'm guessing there is something like a Brown, Beckham, Hopkins team somewhere – ohh boy.) But there has been some huge late-mid round value for WR this season when compared to years past. Edelman's ADP of 42 is pretty sweet considering how he was being used. He'll be an interesting pick next year and will probably be a guy subject to too much market correction. (Like Ivory and Allen Robinson). Marshall was the classic value pick who suffered from the stigma of a team change, being a Jet (and terrible QB) and previous late season swoon. Really, little did we know of how that new offense would look / work. Decker has certainly benefited from Marshall's season, and his awesome consistency for a ADP of 88 has given owners a killer flex WR2 level player for next to nothing.Robinson's ADP of 62 was probably even higher then it would have been had experts and analysts not hyped him pretty heavily. I wonder how many owners missed out on his 33pt week 2 after a 4 pt week 1. He probably didn't leave lineups after that. Hurns is obviously worth a mention here, but went largely un-drafted – most likely a FA in 12 team leagues or less and had w/o a waiver in week 1 or 2. And Fitz. My word. It's interesting people keep talking about the fountain of youth, but he's only 32. What may be the most crazy about his season is the vast difference versus last year on targets to receptions by Palmer (before injury) and how few receptions (63) and TD's (2) he had. I lugged him around on my bench the majority of last season but could never start w/ confidence. No one could really envision the season Palmer would have, but both Fitz and Brown are making for one of the best fantasy season from teammates in the league. Fitz has easily been one of the best steals this year. TE: Tyler Eifert (11/5) TE: Greg Olsen (3/2) People talk a lot about the amount of busts from the RB spot, but TE has been an absolute mess this season relative to draft position and rank. It's hard to look at the position as producing busts when all but 2 of them are drafted after the 4th round, but the guys that have produced have been awesome. Outside of 3 or 4 guys, hitting on a TE relative to their ADP is almost like throwing darts. Depending on how my draft plays out next season I'm almost apt to punt the position making TE, DEF, Kicker my last three picks.* I'm including Olsen here not as a steal for the position but as a player over all. He's the 17th (!) highest scoring non-QB (ahead of Doug Martin and Lamar Miller) from an ADP of 49 – which is pretty nuts. No one really anticipated Cam having this kind of season (he was on many an expert bust / do not draft list) – especially following Benjamin's injury, but Olsen has been awesome. Unless the market over corrects, he's the type of consistent player smart owners will 'reach' for at drafts next year, even if it means using a 3rd rounder. Eifert had huge pre-draft hype and was on almost everyone's sleeper list but somehow still had a 118 ADP. With only 17 points less then Olsen he's obviously a no-brainer here, but I have a weird feeling he may kill some people in the playoffs. * Something worth mentioning. We've drafted about two weeks early the past two years and I've actually gone without drafting a kicker both times – opting to use the roster equity instead on a potential starter or hedging against injury until the night before games begin.

thewrathofkuhn 40 Posted December 8, 2015 Jarvis Landry in Ppr leagues Theo Riddick is another Yea, I missed Landry. Good call. Riddick went largely un-drafted. (And has had a laughably low ownership rate throughout the season).
SaintsInDome2006 441 Posted December 8, 2015 Palmer, Fitgerald and Allen Robinson, hands down. Eifert at TE.
R8RMick 242 Posted December 8, 2015 Nice read. I'd definitely also go with Greg Olsen, who has been fairly consistent all season and is now the de facto TE1. Also, didn't Eifert miss some time?

thewrathofkuhn 40 Posted December 8, 2015 Honorable mentions for Delanie Walker and Keenan Allen (pre-injury was better than Edelman) Yea, Allen is certainly worth a mention. It will be very interesting to see where he lands at next years draft. Walker as well. He has actually outscored Olsen the past four weeks. Good calls on both. Thanks mate. Yea, Eifert was out week 3 against BAL and of course this past weekend as well. As usually TE is top heavy but there are about 5 or 6 guys that may warrant 5th rd or better consideration next season. Right now I'm thinking something like (ADP): Gronk (12) Olsen (28) Eifert (33) Walker (40) Kelce (50) The intangibles will be Ladarius Green (depending on what Gates does), Jordan Reed, Barnidge (the McKnown / Manziel factor – my guess is Manziel is not on that roster opening day), Graham, and Richard Rodgers. I think Rodgers may wind up with a Eifert type season next year (relative to ADP) if Quarless doesn't resign.

I wont rank Walker top 4 nor would I think Barnidge repeats. Rodgers is a great pick though for a late star.

Yeah, def. hard to go past top 3 this far out. I'd have to think TEN brings in some WR help. UFA WR are sort of barren this year outside of Jeffery (who I'm sure CHI re-signs), but Matthews or Floyd would be nice additions to TEN.

He had a TD called back after review (ruled incomplete) and got shut out other than that. They're good defending TEs and Dalton just went elsewhere. That is kind of the risk with Eifert, that he has low volume but quality looks. If he doesn't convert those few looks, there's a low floor. He's just been crazy efficient this year. I have him in 5/7 leagues so I know!
