StrikeForce 11 Posted October 20, 2016 He's been a real disappointment this year, with the exception of one week. Think he turns it around? Or will his injuries linger? I figure he'd probably have decent value in a trade, especially if I wait until he goes off some week (if it happens). But, I just looked back at what he did at the end of last year, and I'd hate to miss out on those kinds of numbers. For reference, his TD counts from week 11-17 were 3, 5, 3, 5, 3, 2, 3. Thoughts? BTW, my backup (whom I'm starting this week) is Mariota.

SpenceToons 70 Posted October 21, 2016 One factor that gives me hope is that Jimmy Graham seems to really be hitting his stride this year...perhaps they'll start connecting in the end zone.

StrikeForce 11 Posted October 21, 2016 Starting Mariota is a good move. Who would you drop Wilson for ? I would never drop him, unless he gets hurt. My plan would be to try and trade him for improvements at WR/RB. Maybe a package deal of some sort.
SpenceToons 70 Posted October 21, 2016 Starting Mariota is a good move. I agree with this and I probably should have given a more complete answer. I'm a Wilson and Mariota owner who will be starting Mariota this week. But I'm staying patient with Wilson.
weepaws 3,157 Posted October 21, 2016 Yea sorry about that. Thanks for the reply. That's a tough one to answer. Of course it depends on the other owners. Just need to shop him and see what the return might be.
Joey Gladstone 33 Posted October 22, 2016 God yes. He's going to get healthier, the line has been playing better, Graham is locked in. Lockett looked fine last week and Baldwin and Kearse are their usual selves. The Hawks offense always picks up in the 2nd half. If you've been carrying him this long it would be foolish to jump off now.

If you've been carrying him this long it would be foolish to jump off now. Well, I would never drop him or anything. I would just use him to try and better some of my other positions, especially if Mariota were to continue to play well. My main concern is that his injuries are going to linger all season. As I recall, he has both a knee and foot problem. And speaking of Lockett, I drafted him as well (eventually dropped him). He only had 25 yards last week. I'll hold Wilson while longer. Not even sure what his value is right now. Thanks for the reply.
Phil Simms 11 133 Posted October 22, 2016 I traded Wilson, Fuller and Duke Johnson for Jimmy Graham, Kelvin Benjamin and Eli Manning. But I do like Wilson a good deal going forward, more than Mariota. Difficult to get fair value in a trade for him.
stonewall 647 Posted October 22, 2016 I would recommend grabbing Wilson wherever you can. His value will never be better. Many Championship teams had him last year down the stretch.
SpenceToons 70 Posted October 27, 2016 I started Mariota in place of Wilson last week and got 10 extra points for it. However I'm loathe to sit Wilson vs the Saints in spite of the sobering blurb below... Thu, Oct 27 Russell Wilson (knee, pectoral) said he'll play against the Saints. Advice: It's been one injury after another for Wilson this season, but he's yet to miss a game. Speaking Thursday, Wilson said he'd suit up, but didn't go over the top downplaying his injuries like he did earlier this season. He also revealed his knee injury was supposed to sideline him for four weeks. Wilson could be quite limited, even by his 2016 standards, in New Orleans.Daily Slant: If you aren't comfortable rolling Wilson out in DFS given his injury concerns, Christine Michael is a fine way to expose yourself to a high-scoring offense. New Orleans has allowed at least 27 points in eight straight home games, and with Seattle coming in as favorites (the line opened at 3.5), we could certainly see a 25 touch day for Michael in a dream spot. NO has allowed 1.67 rushing TDs per game to RBs in addition to over 100 yards per game on the ground, so there isn’t much incentive to playing the fade on Michael. More: John Boyle on Twitter (Rotoworld.com) Anybody not playing Wilson this week ? The pickle that I'm in is that as a Mariota owner, I've only got an hour in case I want to make the switch.
