PA and OH geeks...burger joints unique to that region?

My kids are roller coaster geeks and next month we are visiting Kings Island and Cedar Point in OH, and Dorney Park in PA. We always like to stop and eat at places that you cant find everywhere. I found a place called Culvers near Columbus and Ill hit a White Castle in Allentown PA. Any other suggestions?

Culver's is good.

 

If you really want to try state/regional dishes beyond burgers, I suggest:

 

OH: Skyline Chili. Very 'ohio'. Kids will probably like it.

 

Pa: Most diners sell scrapple. Very PA.

 

Both are not my fave, but there are so few dishes these days that are truly Regional that this would make your kids more interesting people and you'd have more interesting stories just to be able to say that you tried these things at least once.

 

Burgers are good, but they're just a burger at the end of the day. Not a whole lot of variation going on there. Safe travels to you and yours.

Grab a bag of Middelswarth Kettle Cooked BBQ chips on your way through. Every convenience and grocery store around Dorney Park will have them.
