jgcrawfish 232 Posted September 27, 2018 Titans released Rishard Mathews today according to reports. Guy was the leading WR in Tenn just a short time ago. Patriots are always looking for a WR (despite picking up Gordon and Edelman coming back in a week). Lots of other teams will find room for a quality WR as well. Anybody got any thoughts? Worth a flyer?
Frozenbeernuts 2,190 Posted September 29, 2018 I have no idea what happened. He was dissed for years on Miami when he should have been starting. He finally got a real chance with the Titans and did very well. That passing game has been pretty abysmal for 2 years now, so idk if it was mostly the QB or if he has some real problems getting open now
weepaws 3,158 Posted September 29, 2018 Think he’s a wr3 on most nfl teams. Expect for his one nine rd season in 2016, he hasn’t done much in ff. Last season he was a low in wr3. Maybe. I think the Packers could use him,and if that’s his landing spot he could be a low wr2 in a non ppr. But he needs that 30 plus td Qb to make him worthy of a wr2. TennisMenace 156 Posted September 29, 2018 I’d love for my NY Giants to pick him up.
titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted September 29, 2018 Hes lost a step. And he didnt have great speed to begin with. He has had a dB in his pocket all season. Basically, what happened is he fired his agent and negotiated an incentive heavy contract. Then he p!ssed the new staff off by missing training camp and preseason (it has come out locally that he demanded a trade in preseason as well) and now realizes he has no shot at hitting his incentives, due to the offense having been injury raped, and him being passed on the depth chart by Taywan Taylor, because Taylor actually works in practice and isnt a malcontent, and has more talent. jgcrawfish 232 Posted September 30, 2018 i figured if he had any value the Pats would have signed him as their 28th new WR this year (not an exaggeration).
