if he were just a regular actor, that wasn't a giant douche and wasn't a liberal hack and didn't call his daughter a wh0re, you are right. This whole thing would have been received much differently.

Just like Smollett and so many other rich, never told no in their lives actors or athletes. They just live different lives. They don't know what responsibility is.

Serious question that no one has ever been able to answer.

Smollett was under oath and swore to tell the truth or face the penalty of perjury.

We know he lied because he was found guilty. Why don't they tack on perjury?

That is a complete dog and pony show and no one is ever given the penalty of perjury. No wonder people don't mind lying when they go up there. Why does no one respect the bible?

What is the penalty for perjury, and if you get does it run concurrently or is a consecutive penalty?

A person convicted of perjury under federal law may face up to five years in prison and fines. The punishment for perjury under state law varies from state to state, but perjury is a felony and carries a possible prison sentence of at least one year, plus fines and probation.

Well, he would have faced state perjury laws, not federal...but, yeah it's pretty serious.

Quote

In Illinois, perjury is a Class 3 felony. It is punishable by: Up to five years in prison; and. A fine of up to $25,000.

it is a fact he lied and perjured himself, but it won't be brought up and never is. Why? never made sense to me.
