We know he lied because he was found guilty. Why don't they tack on perjury? That is a complete dog and pony show and no one is ever given the penalty of perjury. Well, he would have faced state perjury laws, not federal...but, yeah it's pretty serious. Quote In Illinois, perjury is a Class 3 felony. It is punishable by: Up to five years in prison; and.
