What amuses me is so many of you sit on this board and type "libtard this" and "libtard that" and talk about the mainstream media just feeding people stuff and then here are people just taking whatever is being fed to them by the GOP big money and propaganda establishment.

Funny, I saw actual parents speaking out against it, and some teachers. Are they part of the propaganda establishment too?

Why ban those books then?

The ones with explicit sexual content? They shouldn’t be in schools. What ones are you talking about?

Not really. Almost all of the stuff is accessible. If it says innocent and non-political as you make it out to be then you should have no problem if people don’t want to have it as curriculum in schools for kids

The ones that talk about slavery, racism and the Holocaust.  Why ban the book Maus?

Why did they want it banned? Not why you think they did, but what they said the reason was.

They said they banned the Maus book because it apparently has nudity in it.

Naked pic of a cartoon mouse. This is the same crowd that thinks a kids dance movie is child porn though.

What books are you speaking to of being in the curriculum? Did they give you guys that answer on Newsmax?

Yup...One small picture of his mom in a bathtub after committing suicide. So important that it is completely forgettable in the context of the novel.

I’ll take them at their word for it. Why won’t you? Funny, I learned all about the Holocaust without the help of a comic book. Why would the appropriate age group that should be taught about the Holocaust need a comic book to do it? Comic books are for little kids.

I just don't care for the banning of books.  I don't like censorship.

I know you’re trying really hard and throwing out the Newsmax or Fox News is a really white hot original take when someone doesn’t agree with your stupid opinion.

One of the books is called all boys are blue and yes it depicts gender queer sexual acts that includes the phrase taste it if that helps you at all. Now is this where I say that Rachel Maddow told you that it was OK or whatever CNN clown show that nobody is watching tells you what is not a big deal? Just want to make sure I do this correctly.

I wonder who the book publishers make political donations to? That would be interesting to know.

Seems like it’s only some books, which we all agree is right. We can argue which ones, but not the act itself seeing as we are all in agreement. Should the Turner Diaries be banned? Of course it should. So should Tranny Story hour.

What curriculum is that book in? Where do you think that boo is being regularly taught?

OK you’re simultaneously trying to make two different arguments that I’m not making.

that book is in the library. No that should not be something that middle school kids should have available to read. Also to your previous post where you were talking about CRT that also does not need to be in school curriculum given the fact our schools can’t even get kids to read and write at a respectable level. In other words we have much bigger problems than guilty white kids about something they play no part in. Again these are things you can teach your kids to feel bad about at home.

So it’s only a problem if it’s “widespread”. Where have I heard that one before? What a silly rationalization.

Now you're down to flat out lying.  You're no libertarian and they are it when it comes to complete freedom of choice. Everyone else will ban something at some point.

You literally said "If it says innocent and non-political as you make it out to be then you should have no problem if people don’t want to have it as curriculum in schools for kids" Don't go to the hardcore troubadouche school of not understanding words or how to read

It is not curriculum. I asked you to find me where it is being taught. If a book is sitting on a library shelf it means absolutely nothing until someone checks it out and reads it. Until that point it is just existing in a void. It isn't a book being handed to kids and assigned to read. So every kid is not reading it. Some are choosing to read it. Isn't choice what we want?

And again- you guys don't know or understand what CRT is. You also don't understand it isn't taught in high schools. Just stop.

Context. That was in reference to the racial teachings not the books in the library. This isn’t hard.

Whew.. We don’t understand what CRT is. Thank God you are here to explain it to us like we haven’t been watching or reading up on it. Thank God we have you here to tell us it’s not a big deal. JFC.

Oh so it’s existing in a void unless a child selects it almost as if it’s their issue if they grab it, start reading it and then come across explicit sexual content they were unaware of. That’s really the stance you have on that? Really?.

Yes- it is very clear that 98% of the people railing about CRT have no idea what it is (you yourself showcased you don't know what it is by what you said about it) and that it isn't taught in high school curriculums.....you may be in the 2% but numbers are against you.

You did not respond to the CRT portion at first. You did later when I called you on it and you had no answer. Nice try.

And yes- I love that you all think students are just going into the library and just grabbing books blindly off shelves to read. Please man. Tell me you have no idea what is going on in schools without saying it.....

You’re right, I made it up. I wonder what subject Mooney actually teaches? He comes off more like a guidance counselor, not a teacher.

This thread is straight out of the botcuck playbook.  Lie then deny.  Then redefine.  If you say you think all books belong in all public school libraries, then great, you are incredibly enlightened.  I am not buying it.  Sorry.

Saying CRT and it’s offshoots are not being taught anywhere is just as dumb as saying it’s being taught everywhere. HTH Mooney, and gives you some much needed perspective.

Geez- I knew Hardcore troubadouche couldn't read but my god.

1 school there- 1- says the book is taught.

"Some teachers read it on their YouTube channel." Yeah I'm sure everyone is gathered around the computer watching that.

"Recommended" does not equal "Taught"

Bad ideas begin somewhere. Like common core. I’ll accept your assertion that it’s fringe and not taught in many places. . Fine. I would hope you would understand why people don’t want it to become commonplace. Nip it in the bud. Some of us have been around, and I too once scoffed at the notion of the “slippery slope”. Experience has taught me it’s real.

No I actually didn’t and with three kids in elementary school yeah I might’ve read about it a little bit jerk off.
this is the problem with people like you. People have different opinions but holy God do you guys act like you’re the experts on everything. And the issue isn’t an a difference of opinion it’s that you don’t understand what it is as if you’re somehow smarter than anyone. Spoiler alert I’ve seen enough of your post to know that it’s not you.

you asked for a book and I gave you one. You asked others to see where certain books were taught and they gave them to you. You didn’t like either answer. So the problem isn’t that these things aren’t occurring you’re just choosing to turn a blind eye to it because you agree with it. That part? I don’t give a fock less what you think about that.

I’ll try to find something from Newsmax to copy and paste for you

  • Thanks 1

I am an expert over you because you stupidly showed you don't know what it is. Funny that you can't see it. If you knew what CRT was you would know the mistake you made.

You gave me a book. I asked where it was taught. A list of 25 schools was said and literally 1 says "taught." You can look at the link yourself. I'm saying these are mountains out of molehill issues that are heavily backed by right wing money and establishment. And people slurp it up because it fits their ideology.
