I think there’s something to the Internet playing a role too. We’re only around 20 years into it the net being in every home and the first generation that’s come to adulthood having lived a large % of their lives lives online. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that many of these shooters are young men.

Sadly I think the new normal is mass shootings becoming increasingly common.
