Last of Us. - A lot too woke with the Bill and Frank

Agreed that it was good to see that the finale followed the game very closely.  Bonus points for using a real giraffe vs CGI crap.

My only gripe is that Joel simply put a single round into the doctor's (aka Abby's father's) noggin and spared the nurses.  When I played the game I usually used my flamethrower on the entire lot to conserve ammo.

The final episode was great.  I kept thinking what it would be like watching for those who never played the game.  I remember having some mixed feelings when I finished the game the first time and how much the entire game made me feel and stuck with me.  This show was able to accomplish the same.

I look forward to season two.

It was also cool seeing the Ellie voice actress make an appearance as Ellie's mom.

Have you played 2? The game didn't have nearly the same impact but if they treat the show like they did Last of Us 1, then maybe it would be good. 

But you are right, that last episode was great. I think the whole show was. But in the finale, sticking strictly to the game script was key. I'm glad they didn't screw that up. That game is amazing. I remember the first time I played it, I was concerned with who I killed in the end when getting into the operating room as if it would have an impact in some way on the outcome of the game. Go figure that Joel killing the doctor ended up being the motivating topic in game 2. But Last of Us 1 stands as the best video game ever of that genre.

I did play the second game. I enjoyed it but it was not as great as the first. Still enjoyable though.
