Also, we watched the Pro Bowl stuff yesterday.  Meh... good idea, poor execution the first time out of the box.  For those unaware, they did non-football competitions including long drives, water balloon tosses, along with a few football skills drills.  They needed to mic up the players and encourage trash talking, add a little more WWE flair.  Also the Manning brothers seemed, I dunno, nervous.  Peyton should have been smack-talking Eli big time after the AFC won the first few events.

I liked it, they need a few more events.  Like a 275lb+ 50 yard dash(Fastest Fat Man Title), 3-point contest, Pass/Kick/Punt and 100 yard dash for fastest in the NFL title.  They can lose the water balloon toss & Eli

I agree that the events will evolve.  I like the 3 pointer and I think the players would get into it, and maybe the punt pass and kick competition, but the others seem a little too... athletic?  I don't think the guys want to break a sweat or worse, risk injury going all out in a sprint.

BTW, how did they pick teams for the events?  The NFC had one or two guys at least who have never swung a golf club in their life; you put them in the long drive?   

I also like how they drove into a hardpan which seemed to have a downslope; some of those swings did NOT look like 300+ yard drives to me.
