I had an uncle that always went on about religion.  Not as much as you but a lot.  Anyhow he was visiting from Virginia when I was a teenager and I asked when he was returning? 

He said "I will be driving back this weekend in a car without a radio." 

I knew what his response would be but I said "Holy sh1t Uncle John, you will be talking to yourself." 

He predictably said "Bill I'll be talking to God.  "  

I said "if you hear him talking back it is time to pull in and take a rest." 

He got all pissed off and said something to my Father about me being a smartass.  Dad even said what I said was no big deal.  My uncle and I never really spoke after that but he would only come visit Erie once a year at most.

I feel bad for your uncle, when you become a Christian it’s expected that one will receive response like the one you gave him.  It’s sad.  

But it’s good that your uncle simply walked away and I’m sure he carried on with his faith.
