I know there have been some topics on it but when I searched I was pulling up shit from the one that failed during covid.

Anyone been watching any of it over the first 5 weeks? I have not watched a full game I don’t think. Maybe watched a full Brahmas (the team I decided to cheer for haha) game back in week 1… but every time I flip it on during a game I am impressed with a lot.

The quality of play seems good for what it is, in an inaugural season (I know there is some carryover from the 2020 version). Credible coaches either former nfl/college or former nfl players. Enough former NFL talent on the field, and the team names, logos and uniforms are overall pretty nice. The Brahmas, Defenders and Roughnecks are uniforms I’d love to see in the NFL. Orlando unis are no more an eye sore than Seattle Seahawks.

I would love to see it succeed as a good standalone product and filter system for guys to play their way back up to the NFL.

If you watched a game from the beginning through the end of the game , then you indeed have watched a whole game. Now you know.

HTH.

Thanks.

I been watching it since it's been back this season. I think it;s fixed and just take the game that was just on.  Seattle is up 7 and spread is them - 7.5, So they have the ball on Orlando's 35 and it;s third down. The QB runs 5 yards back to the 40 and falls down on purpose. So they punt giving Orlando the ball back with over a minute. Why not try to keep getting yards for the field goal on  3rd down and put the game out of reach and go up 10 ?

That said I like it cause it's football and watch and hope the XFL & USFL stick around.

Eh. It’s so hard to say something is fixed. Why would it be fixed in one direction and not the other (without knowing how much money is on what side).

From a football standpoint, maybe you don’t want to try a field goal that gets blocked or something odd happens or even just a miss gives great field position. So you punt and trust your D.

I have not watched one second of the XFL...  I would rather watch a CFL or Arena game...

I'm not gonna try it - you try it. Let's get Posty... he hates everything.

One thing I do know from watching more then a few games, the announcers sure talk about the spread enough in each game. Guess they know their target audience.

This is true. Although since sports gambling has become legal in more states, you notice some NFL announcers making reference to it with no shame. It used to just be Al Michaels making subtle comments 😂

These guys bring it up every 10 mins lol and just mentioned it again as I'm typing. The NFL announcers seem to try on purpose not to mention it. One extreme to the next. Yep the NFL announcers always say when they do have to bring it up, it's derogatory like people that bet on sports are horrible humans.

Musberger was an artist at dropping comments as well.
