But I doubt this will happen. Christie will struggle to get the 2% he needs to be on that stage (he’s below 1% right now) and I don’t expect Trump will even show up for the first debates. Why should he?

What I will find to be great entertainment, won't happen for about 4 more years.  Republican's don't like Chris Christie... yet, Democrats will cheer him on because he's going to go after Trump.  The thing is, he's Donald Trump 2.0 (from a personality standpoint), and Democrats will love him.  Then, after Trump's term comes to a close in 4 years and we're here again looking ahead to the 2028 elections with DeSantis vying for the spot in 2028, Chris Christie will be running on the Democrat ticket and will have to defend him for all the bull crap he did here in NJ.  Of course, they'll say, "Well, he was a Republican then and he's learned the error of his ways".  People like you will eat that crap up.

This guy is the only one in the GOP field who seems like they want to attack Donald. I could see him getting a meager 5% or so. Hell, Dems may give him some cash to watch him go Thunderlips during the debates.
