There's a whole microeconomy going on right now of people who just pull their phones out and start filming public spaces. Then the cops eventually show up and display their ignorance and arrogance. And the best part? Is as much as I usually hate anything related to the Myspace and whatnot? The guys who post this stuff generally end up getting some sort of Rich settlement from governments and police departments. And in the very best news? Idiot bully cops end up getting fired.

 

See, here's the thing. Actually multiple things. Just because the cops ask you for id? Unless they're charging you with a crime? You have no obligation to provide id. You know why? Cuz it's not f****** Nazi germany. Who's the other thing? Because somebody gets triggered because they think you're acting suspicious because you're filming things with your phone? None of that represents Criminal activity. And next, want to cop ask you questions like where you coming from? Where you going to? None of your f****** business you s*** you white trash 3 week training program Paul blart moron. 

 

At this point? My favorite part of those videos is when these morons end up either getting visited by their supervisor or called by them and suddenly they just shut the f****** and run away. Because you know why? Because every time they f****** ends up in a lawsuit. And then getting fired usually.

I'd love to tell you that look, I understand the cops have tough jobs. Except for the fact that only 1% of cops Nationwide historically ever draw their weapons outside of the range. Sorry kids, this isn't swat. You're a tax collector at best..

 

Literally, these c**** will spend hours every year learning b******* like diversity training. How about 30 minutes a month watching some of the same videos that are readily accessible to the General Public about what you can and cannot require of citizens.

I never have the cops approach me, never get asked for my ID, never asked questions.  But then again, they typically only do these things if you are in places known to be really seedy or are driving a junker car or look homeless.  And of course the people who do those things are more likely to be extremely emotional and lash out with a screed about how cops are bad.

Cops and juvenile delinquents have similar MMPI (personality) profiles; they like to be in control, and they have a sense of entitlement--that the rules don't apply to them.  Since the cops also have authority and weapons, it's usually a good idea to recognize this about them, and play your role accordingly when interacting with them.  I basically just make it a rule not to put myself in a position to interact with them (observing traffic rules and whatnot), but I'm pretty sure that if one ever overstepped his authority with me, I'd feel a lot better shutting up and playing along at the time and then talking about it in front of a judge later, rather than trying to whip out my phone and oppose the officer in the street.

See what's more likely shall we? Idiot cops have been abusing their status for 100 years and finally getting caught and held accountable because of the recent prevalence of recording devices.
