Activists wearing shirts that read “end fossil fuels” began chanting after Gauff won the first game of the second set, prompting a pause in play as tournament officials attempted to remove them from the upper bowl of Arthur Ashe Stadium. The stoppage went on for more than 45 minutes as at least one protester had glued his feet to the ground and refused to leave before more than 10 police officers arrived to lead him out of the stadium in handcuffs.

I turned on ESPN radio on the way to meet up with some people for the chiefs-lions and they said the US Open was still delayed due to environmental protesters (and quickly moved on to breaking Joe burrow contract), I just shook my head.

I have been told that violence is no answer to conflict.  In some instances I disagree.
