They started in 1961, the Bills in 1970. They've both been in 4. The Bills infamously lost 4 in a row. 89-90-91-92 The Vikings last appearance was 1977, when they lost to the Raiders. 12 current NFL teams have never won: Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Chargers, Minnesota Vikings, and Tennessee Titans. Pretty sure the Browns & Lions won championships before it was called the Super Bowl.

Just to be accurate, their win vs the Baltimore Colts in 1969 was then not considered the Super Bowl. It was merely the NFL/AFL Championship Game.

Not sure exactly what it was called at the time (or if that really matters), but the Super Bowl era started when the NFL Champion Packers beat the AFL Champion Chiefs in January 1967. That was Super Bowl I, so the Jets-Colts game was Super Bowl III.

Showboat 256 Posted November 7, 2023 The Vikings were actually very close to matching the Bills 4 straight Super Bowl appearances. If not for the original Hail Mary, the Vikings likely would have been in Super Bowl X (even though that was in the divisional playoff game and not the conference championship). That was probably the best overall Vikings team of that era.
