Yeah. He’s a real credit to the organization.  The Detroit Lions. They do it right. Choir boys up and down the roster, unlike the rest of the league. lol. 🤡

He got suspended. Also quit on his team in college.

When HT means when he says that Williams "quit on his college team" is that he transferred schools after his second year.

A little different than sitting your ass on the sofa, joking around and eating popcorn, as Georgia dismantle your teammates.

Oh. So he did what was right for his nfl prospects. But those players that don’t play in a meaningless bowl game, protecting their nfl prospects? Quitters not worthy of wearing the Detroit lions uniform.  Lol. 🤡

Didn't seem to harm Jaemo's draft status all that much. Some teams prize loyalty.

How about we just choose to disagree and you can root for the Giants to draft Caleb Williams? He seems to be your kind of player.

It was 2020, the whole team opted out.

It's a silly argument anyway, they'll have a dwindling list of players to choose from if they stick to their guns on this issue.

Detroit has become a prime destination for players because they want to play for Dan Campbell. Previously it had been the NFL version of Siberia.  Ndamukong Suh couldn't get out of town fast enough and Rob Gronkowski nixed a trade to the Lions. Even beloved superstars like Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson retired early while still under contract.

Well let's be clear.  Dan Campbell is a factor sure, but they are winning.  If they were 3-13 right now, no one would want to come here   Coach or not

Eli Manning is my kind of player. Tough as nails, great teammate and he won. You wish.

NFL scouts and GMs don't care if players opt out of bowl games.  Enough already.

Facts.  If they can play and add to the team, they will draft them.  For the most part.

Jalen Carter does come to mind though about GM's passing due to "issues"

Character issues, yes.  Opting out of a bowl game does not present a character issue.  There have been lots of high character guys that opted out of bowl games like Christian McCaffrey.

He panics under pressure too much. Maybe that can be fixed? Best.would be to sit him for a year or two. Also, 3 major knee surgeries? I would like to see what NFL doctors say about his future.

Agree.  He was making passes that were remarkable. His timing, his movement, just everything.  Now, I noticed a hitch in his arm movement, but that can be worked out.

NAILED IT!

I put 50 on Michigan minus 11.5 on DK last night to win 180.  (11.5 was the highest they would let me go)

Thank god that happened, or I would have looking at him under center for the Patriots next year

I think this was his 5th or 6th year, I think he's like 23

I found this  - While Penix has not formally declared for the 2024 NFL Draft, he will no longer have eligibility at the NCAA level and is widely assumed to join this year's class of draftable quarterbacks.19 hours ago

Its only from one game mind you, but when Michigan beat CJ Stroud last year, I still got the sense Stroud looked like a legit NFL quarterback. There was a sense of call it what ... respect? fear? that went with that focker. That guy was good. I didn't get anywhere close to that watching Penix play vs Michigan.
