Since week 11, my team has lost five starters in the first half of games (four on the opening drive). FF has gotten ridiculous.

Maybe the NFL will outlaw tackling at some point ?

Looks like they're moving in that direction.......

I get what you're saying but the hip drop ain't the same as a regular/normal/typical tackle...

What exactly is a hip-drop tackle?
In a hip-drop tackle, the defensive player approaches from behind or the side, wraps his arms around the offensive player and becomes dead weight while dropping to the ground. Often, the defensive player's body lands on the offensive player's legs. According to NFL executive Jeff Miller, it poses a 25-times higher risk of injury than a normal tackle.

I get what you're saying as well, but how is he supposed to be tackled ?

Would be tackler can't do a horse collar, can't reach around & grab them by the helmet/face mask, can't aim for the midsection, as he could if the runner was coming towards him.

If he catches him from behind, of course his body is going to land on the players legs. Once his arms slide down below the runners knees, it's going to trip up the runner & he'll fall forward.

I don't like injuries either, but unfortunately, it's part of the game.

I think Steelers playoff run just ended.   And Coach might be suffering his first losing season.
