Can’t be worse than having multitudes of aliases stored up all for a lightly trafficked message board. Imagine taking the time to do that? Pathetic.

This is a huge loss for the American people.

Interest payments on the national debt were $475 billion in fiscal year 2022 — the highest dollar amount ever. Interest costs grew 35 percent last year and are projected to grow by another 35 percent in 2023.

It's a shame Donald Trump added $8.2T to the national debt during his 4 year term, more than any president in history.  YUGE loss for the American people.🤣

That has nothing to do with the fact that "mine starts when it's cold" was a good zinger for an EV driver, and your response was weak.

Also don't be Rusty/Pimpadeaux with the laugh emoticons, it looks dumb.  🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Don't tell him though, he thinks he looks super cool.

Trump wasn't the highest % wise which is a better reflection.

https://www.usatoday.com/money/blueprint/banking/national-debt-by-president/

Reagan almost tripled the debt, Bush doubled it.  Trump's increase was 40%.  So far Biden sits at 6%, much much better.

It's a long time fallacy that republicans care about Govt spending

No, it's not better.  Trump was on a typical slow increase until 2020 with Covid which should have been a one-off situation, and the amount reduced thereafter.  But Biden has continued to build off of that one-off spending.  Every year of his is incredibly more than we should be spending based on historical trends.  HTH

Simple-minded Leftists, the party of science but apparently not math, refuse to understand this.  I just mentioned it above to Rusty, and typically Raven Fan comes in with a "but this one goes to 11" level comment.

Anyone care to explain why a stop gap for 6 weeks is a win for anyone?  Braindead OP reads a headline and runs with it?

Definitely Rusty, only thing missing is a link to yahoo.

Nobody has even thought of resale value.  Who is going to want to buy a 10 year old car whose chitty batteries only charge to 70% (and dropping).  And battery replacement cost is 75% the cost of a brand new one.  A couple decades from now we're going to have a bunch of used Teslas sitting around with dead batteries in them.  That will be good for the environment.

Musk conned all you idiots.

Can you provide some data to back up your claims?  The data that I shared is different.

I do find it odd that Trump supporters give Trump a pass for covid spending but hold Biden accountable for covid spending.  It's disingenuous.

Here is another link backing up what I stated.  In raw dollars Trump still added more debt than Biden.  Percentage wise Biden is much lower.  Feel free to provide conflicting data.

https://www.newsnationnow.com/politics/which-presidents-added-most-national-debt/

Barack Obama
$9.3 trillion over 8 years
($1.1 trillion per year)
Donald Trump
$7.8 trillion over 4 years
($1.9 trillion per year)
Joe Biden
$3.7 trillion over 2 years, 3 months
($1.6 trillion per year)
George W. Bush
$4.9 trillion over 8 years
($0.6 trillion per year)

The bulk of his growth was 2020; the previous three years were much less.

Biden's "low" growth is much higher when viewed through that lens.  Although to your point, we could give a little leeway to Biden for Covid spending in 2021.  But by 2022 the major spending items related to Covid were gone.

Personally not really looking at any car as a long term investment. Cost of operating EV’s for me has been fantastic - pretty much fuel cost, almost zero maintenance. About to have to do the tires which will be first big bill in about 4 years. Everyone’s situations are different and people need to know their situation.

Just looked at resale value and actually looks pretty good:

Disposal of battery is a legitimate issue.

Current resale value at 10 years?  Yeah, there are only so many dumb people that will wise up after the first couple rounds of that.

I saw his posts and his numbers and they are roughly the same as what I posted, which show Trump added more to the debt in both raw numbers and percentages than Biden has and continues to.  In Baker Boy's post you can even see the GDP to debt ratio has decreased since Biden took office.

I'll stand by my claim that Biden has been more debt friendly than Trump and have the data behind me to do so.
