The Nanjing Massacre

Recommended Posts

The Japs have had us steppin & fetching over the A-bombs for generations now. I think every US president since world war II has apologized somehow.  Plus we rebuilt their country. Plus we're their sworn protector.

Wonder if the Japs have ever apologized for the tons of absolutely barbaric things they've done.

I remember my dad had not very good things to say about the japanese.  I don't think we can ever really appreciate that generations emotions.

Ooh boo hoo! Bugs Bunny made fun of them!   🐰

This was the first experiment in destroying a country and being able to rebuild it. Turns out it’s great business and we’ve repeated continually ever since

It wasn’t nearly the first. We destroyed and rebuilt Nicaragua several times, Cuba, the Philippines, Chile, and several other countries all before World War II. Even if you count World War II, Italy and West Germany came before Japan.

Thank you. I was unaware of a couple of those conflicts. I will as aware of us having them as territories but I guess I was thinking more like toppling the govt. and destruction.

phillipines was given to us by Spain so I’m not sure how that relates. I was unaware of Nicaragua. Chile and Cuba I only slightly recall. And was West Germany result by us taking ovr

One of the biggest reasons for bad relations between the Chinese and Japanese and not just the governments.

My greatuncle I mention sometimes, the one with the DiMaggio family stories who'd died a day or two before 9/11, had been in the Navy in WWII and felt like wiffleball's dad about the Japanese all his life.

I have a great uncle who survived the Bataan Death March. I never met him, he died when I was still a baby.
