Meh… kid was a good baseball player in high school. Just looks like he tried to let one go and it flew out on him.

Looks like @edjr may have deleted his “Purdy has turned into a punkin” thread, but Purdy may have just cost me my first round playoff matchup

Can't wait to see him with no weapons this year, other than CMC

in his worst season where he had no continuity and major injuries in every facet of the game he posted

3864; 66%; 20 tds/12 ints; rushed for 300 with 5 tds in 15 games

he starts the season with little depth at wr, but still has kittle and cmc (who knows if he stays healthy)

you act is if other good qbs do not have tools.

hurts has barkley, brown, smith, goedert

stafford looked like crap until he got puka, kupp, and williams healthy

cousins had jj, addison, hock, and cook

mahomes at his best had hill, hunt, kelce

rodgers had jones and adams

russ had beast mode (then carson, and walker), metcalf, lockett

warner had Faulk, bruce, holt

marino had duper and clayton

kelly had Thomas, loften, reed

Who did TB12 have? :dunno:

antwoine smiths's 1200 yds rushing, brown's 1200 yds rec, and excellent defense and special team... which gave him short fields and reduce the need to throw.

one excellent game, 2 around 250, the rest under. they were were not scoring a lot to win

early brady certainly benefited from the team around him

You can easily say when TB12 was at his best he had Moss, Welker, Dillon.
he only threw for 4,000 once before 2007 when he put up video game numbers. Randy Moss arrived in…. You got it!

then Edelman, Gronk

edit: just to clarify that Brady is the goat and I am simply showing that they all need weapons.

Burrow wanted to keep Higgins for a reason. Chase, Higgins, Brown.  Even Lamar has always had Andrews, they got him Flowers and now Henry.  With Jayden Daniels, who had McLaurin, they did it a little different and brought in savvy veterans like Ertz and Ekeler. Goff got Amon-Ra, LaPorta, Gibbs, Montgomery, Jamo.

Josh Allen is maybe the only guy you can point to and say he is carrying the damn team on his back for the most part.

They didn't win a SB with Moss and or Welker. They lost a SB cause Welker can't catch.

i had edited my post, if you didn't see to explain that Brady was great. I always hated Bill more than Brady, as a Jets fan and have always felt it was clear that Brady made Bill and not the other way around.

But Trent Dilfer won a super bowl. I thought the discussion was more about a QB being great with or without weapons. Like you were teeing up a "told you so" if Purdy has a down year with what can be seen as a lack of weapons compared to past seasons...

I sort of leave super bowls out of it because teams can win those based on defense and o-line/run game.  As a general football fan, I always felt those early playoff and SB wins for Tom were based on the defense and vinatieri making clutch kick after clutch kick. Brady was the right man for the job but he wasn't quite TB12 yet.

you mean like the first one where mvp brady passed for 145 yrds, 1 td, on the back of smith's 92 yds rushing, a defensive td, and holding the greatest show on turf to 17 pts?

Ty Law should have won MVP or Vinatieri. The only thing more meaningless than SB MVP,  is discussing who won SB MVP
