Strike 5,558 Posted July 1, 2024 ROFLMAO. He and the MVP should make a great pair.
MDC 7,447 Posted July 1, 2024 I’m happy with it. PG fits well with Embiid and Maxey, he won’t be more than the 3rd option and didn’t cost any draft picks. Sixers are desperate and in win now mode. It’s an overpay but a gamble worth taking.
RaiderHaters Revenge 4,354 Posted July 1, 2024 Clippers failed that trade big time from day 1, SGA is a far superior player and they gave up 5 1's as well
MLCKAA 574 Posted July 2, 2024 Writing from Indiana, where he was drafted. He’s not a winning player.
MDC 7,447 Posted July 2, 2024 Sixers couldn’t do nothing and run it back. Embiid is 30 and the East got tougher especially the NYK. They don’t have enough assets to outbid other teams and PG was the best free agent on the market. It’s definitely an overpay, but George fits seamlessly between Embiid and Maxey and he makes Philly better in the short term. In 3-4 years both Embiid and George will be in steep decline but so what? Maxey will still be in his prime and they’ll have two of LAC’s unprotected firsts. I don’t think this definitely gets Philly over the hump but it at least gives them a path to compete with NYK and Boston. To me it’s a gamble worth taking. Maybe the 76ers owner should sell and buy the celtics. That is his best chance of winning the next 20 years

I knew he couldn't afford these salaries. He's rich, but he's no Elon Musk. Christ, even Mark Cuban (way richer) saw the writing on the wall and sold. You have to be Saudi rich to pay these luxury taxes
