Nevada state fair is avg at best,  we enjoy the California state fair over the one in Nevada, plus at the California state fair you can bet on horse racing.

Midwesterners love our state fairs. The MN SF demolished those of all it's neighbors, although Iowa has a decent one. We love judging livestock, jam, and veggies in Walz country!

I haven’t been to all the State Fairs but I thought California, New England and Texas were much better.

I was raised in Wisconsin.  I went to the State Fair a few times.  A midway, some carnival games, food one should never eat but does because its awesome, and a bunch of animal and agricultural product displays and judging which we had little interest in.  I moved to Minnesota.  Minnesotans are very proud of their fair.  Pretty much the exact same thing as Wisconsins but in September if I remember.  I have been to the South Dakota, New York, and Colorado State Fairs.  Pretty much the same thing except they seemed to have outside vendors in booths hawking pots and pans and ginsu knives in addition to ther stuff I was use to, though in fairness maybe so too does the Wisconsin State Fair nowadays, I wouldn't know as i have not been in 45 years or so. 

I've heard Iowa has a nice State Fair though I have never been.  I worry if i ever go i would be accosted by some political candidate looking to eat corn on the cob and a sliced pork sandwich while talking to me on camera so they can seem like normal folk before a national primary.  We get it, you have teeth and can buy a plaid shirt, but we don't think you are one of us.

Every college football season we see the Big Tex or some such statute which I understand is from their Fair Ground.  I think they show it before the Red River Rivalry.  Some inane announcer goes on about the statue and the fair.  They seem proud of it.  I'm guessing it is like the ones I know, but maybe with a rodeo added in.  Btw, the Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue ox Statues from my neck of the woods would totally kick the crap of of Big Tex.  They would then kill the Brontosauras slide statue in what was it Kansas or Iowa on the way to New York to impregnate the Statue of Liberty.  That b!tch is asking for it the way she is provocatively dressed.
