1 Peter 2:9-10.  But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a Holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into a His marvelous light.  

Who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtain mercy but now have obtained mercy.  

1 Peter 2:12.   Having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe , glorify God in the day of visitation.

Peter is talking about those who follow Jesus. The New Testament. Jews spend more time trying to trick God and rejected Jesus. There is only one way to the Father and that's through Jesus.

Absolutely Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior is the only way,  and God has never broken is covenant with Israel.   Jesus came to save the lost, Gentiles, and Jews alike , Jesus doesn’t turn his back to anyone, if one receives Him, You are adopted into the family Of God.  Only to those that choose Jesus, many Gentiles will, many Jews will, sadly most won’t, Israel is , and has been, and will continue to be God’s special people, but that doesn’t guarantee them Heaven, like everyone, they must repent, and accept Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior.

There is a new testament. The past is the past. Jesus has given us the path and that is through him to the father. There is no other way. The chosen people are those who accept Jesus.

It’s Father,  the past isn’t the past,  the Old Testament is just as important as the New Testament, the Whole Bible is about Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior, Gods Word, is the Holy Bible.

I'm not married but my girlfriend says dumb stuff all the time.  I've learned to smile and nod.  Then she usually comes back later and admits I was right all along.  When we went to Puerto Rico 2 weeks ago, I packed two phone chargers.  She thought we only needed one.   I was like "we have two phones... but ok" half way through the trip, she acknowledged two phone chargers would have been helpful.  I was like (shrugs)
